Story
Spot is a sweet, affectionate dog with a big heart and an even bigger love for the outdoors. He thrives when he has space to move, explore, and be close to his people. He enjoys playing and snuggling, and he brings so much joy and personality into a home. We are Spot’s second family, and we have had him for five months. He was originally rehomed because of his high energy level while living in a city apartment — he simply needed more room to run and be himself. We welcomed him onto our five-acre property so he could have that freedom. We were told he would not run away and would stay close on recall. Because our land is not fenced, Spot did run off frequently. After about four weeks with us, he was hit by a car and suffered a broken hip. Thankfully, he has healed and is back to his normal, happy self. However, he has recently begun running off again, and we are deeply concerned for his safety and fear another accident could happen. This choice has been incredibly difficult.

Story
Meet Lestat 💙 Lestat is a beautiful Blue Heeler–Husky mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s an energetic, intelligent boy who lives for playtime, long runs, and cool weather adventures. Toss him a tennis ball or give him a sturdy bone to chew, and he’s in his happy place. If peanut butter is involved, you’ve won him over for life.Lestat is deeply loyal and protective of the people he loves. He forms strong bonds and wants nothing more than to feel safe, understood, and secure. Unfortunately, due to an unstable environment and inconsistent handling, Lestat has developed separation anxiety and has begun showing signs of stress-related aggression. These behaviors are not who he truly is, but rather a response to fear and confusion. This decision comes from love and heartbreak. I am unable to move with Lestat or financially provide the professional training and environment he truly needs to thrive.

Story
Looking to rehome Pepper, a 3 year old cattle dog mix. We found her as a stray on a local trail when she was about a year old and came to realize she had spent quite a while out there. We posted her everywhere, checked for microchips. We spayed her, house trained and crate trained her, and treated her for the heartworms that she tested positive for. We have two older dogs (10 & 11) and young kids in a rental, so we do not have the appropriate space for her and she is very high energy. She is great around the kids and our cat but my older dogs snap at her a lot. Looking for a good home for her with space & time for her to burn off her endless energy and be hopefully more challenging mentally. She loves cuddles and wants all the attention! She is kennel trained. She was up to date on her shots up until a few months ago, as due to financial difficulties we haven’t been able to get her annual boosters.

Story
Rehoming a 9yr old male Australian Cattle / American Bully mix. We’re moving soon and we need a new home for this sweet, empathetic, loving dog. He loves lounging on the couch and in the sunshine; loves walkies, but will sip every puddle he can find along the way; much better at tug of war than fetch. Would be best in a home without children or smaller pets. Does well one-on-one with other medium/large dogs, but gets territorial/possessive of his humans (doesn’t like when others get attention unless he’s getting more attention). He’s a young senior and needs regular help with his arthritis.
