Story
We want you to meet Millie.  She is a young Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler).  She was born August of 2022.  Right now she weighs in just under 33 lbs.  She is an active young lady with as much to give as she does energy.  She arrived to us in season and has driven the boys around here crazy.  We will be taking care of that Tuesday with Dr. Mike.  Millie has not had an accident inside so we are assuming she is housebroken.  We can't yet test her with other dogs due to her being in season but through fences she appears to not have an issue.  We have no cat information but we would kind of doubt her co-habitation with a cat.  We see no problems with kids or adults.  She will be spayed on 5/30/23.  Her shots are current, she is heartworm negative, she is current on her preventtives (heartworm and flea/tick) and is micro-chipped.  Her adoption fee is $300.00.  To apply to adopt her please go to our website at www.patriotsforpets.com and submit an application and then we can set up a time for you to visit this active young girl. ##1728475##

Story
This handsome and active young guy is Angelo.  He has a DOB of 3/14/23.  He is a Heeler mix and is VERY high energy.  He is not for the laid back, inactive family - he requires lots of exercise so a home with lots of area to run or a lot of kids to keep him occupied would be idea. He gets along with other dogs and has done amazing keeping his kennel clean so we think finishing him off on housebreaking would be a fairly simple task.  Based upon his energy level we probably would not recommend him with cats. His $300.00 adoption fee includes neuter, current shots, worming, current on preventatives and micro-chipped.  To apply go to our website at www.patriotsforpets.com and submit an application. ##1816164##

Story
Sarah was adopted in March 2022 and returned due to no fault of her own as Daisy.  Daisy knows her name, and is a sweet girl although quite the talker.  She is once again current on all vaccinations and preventatives, and of course spayed and microchipped. Her previous family said she is not good with small animals, and wants to be the Alpha. Sarah-Daisy's adoption fee is $250.  If interested in her please fill out an application that can be found on our website.  www.patriotsforpets.com ##1804768##

Story
Diego was adopted earlier this month, and is already back!  We talk and people do not listen!  Puppies are a lot of work! Name:  Diego   Breed:  Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler) mix   Sex:  Male   DOB:  3/8/23 This baby is a Heeler mix and is so very sweet.  Active, outgoing, curious and looking for a forever home.  Puppies are not housebroken and will require their new family to teach them all the things a puppy should know.  Remember this breed is a herding dog - so they can get pushy when they want something or someone to go where they want them to go. Great with adults, kids and other dogs and young enough to train with kitties. Adoption fee on puppies is $300.00.  That includes spay/neuter, current puppy shots, wormed, current on preventatives and micro-chipped.  To apply to adopt pleae go to our website at www.patriotsforpets.com and submit an application. ##1718869##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucky came to us as an owner surrender on March 27th. He was very shy when he first came to us so we didn't place him up for adoption right away. His former owners loved him but they never really let him do "normal" dog things. Lucky had never eaten dog food or even eaten out of a dish when he came to us! Our volunteers have worked really hard with him and he's now blossomed into a fun loving dog who loves to play and has learned how to "dog". He has been vet checked, neutered, and chipped. His fee of $150 is being sponsored by one of our volunteers. Lucky is looking for a very patient and experienced home. He's still shy with new people but has learned to overcome it a lot faster. He is a mix of two very smart and active breeds, both of which are known for keeping people on their toes. Lucky exemplifies both breeds with his energy level and his sometimes frustrating enjoyment of teasing and pushing the ol' envelope. It's all in good fun for him and you can almost see him laughing. He's a goober who loves to play but will settle in for some snuggling and hugs. A FENCED YARD is required for Lucky. His leash skills aren't the greatest yet so a fence will help to keep him secure. He does require some basic training in all areas but loves to learn and makes it a fun experience. An adult only home would be best (teens are fine). He LOVES the companionship of other dogs. Cats are most likely a no for him given his breed mix. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, AND spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 2, 2023, 1:20 pm
