Story
Don’t let her tiny size fool you—this mighty little girl has an attitude as big as those ears! 🐾✨ She’s an absolute sweetheart with people, loves being held, and is always ready for her close-up—seriously, she’s a total model. Around her puppy friends, though, her “big sister” energy shines through as she playfully bosses them around with little nips and lots of adorable “sass.” She’s a big fan of snacks, cozy blankets, and anyone willing to give her plenty of pets. Spunky, affectionate, and likely to stay on the smaller side, this little lady is guaranteed to brighten anyone’s day!

Story
This 1-year-old Red Heeler/Shepherd mix is as striking as he is lovable, with beautiful, unique coloring and a coat that turns heads. But it’s his eyes that really get you — the kind that look at you like you hung the stars in the sky. Archie came to us as an owner surrender from Louisiana, and while we don’t know much about his previous home, some of his early mannerisms suggest he may not have always been treated the way he deserved. The good news? Archie doesn’t hold onto the past. Give him a moment — sometimes a little longer for men than women — to sniff, settle in, and realize he’s safe, and you’ll quickly discover you’ve made a best friend for life. And once he warms up… get ready. Archie might just be the wiggliest dog we’ve ever met. Seriously — taking photos of him was nearly impossible because he was just so excited to be around people. His joy is contagious, and he’s guaranteed to make you smile every single day. He absolutely loves playtime, gets along wonderfully with people and other dogs, and does great with kids. We also think he has the potential to peacefully coexist with a cat in the home with proper introductions. On top of all that, Archie is both potty-trained and crate-trained — a solid foundation for his future family. Archie would thrive in just about any home looking to add a happy, goofy, affectionate companion to their pack. If you’re ready for a dog who will love you with his whole heart (and wiggle his whole body while doing it), Archie is your guy.

Story
***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** Roscoe is a young, energetic, and affectionate dog looking for his forever home. Found abandoned as a puppy in the countryside, he’s been lovingly fostered and is now ready to find his family. Roscoe is athletic, playful, and gets along great with other dogs, making him the perfect companion for an active household!   Roscoe can be shy when first meeting new people however he has shown such improvement in this area that he will likely adjust quite well with just a little patience.  He has been accustomed to living on an acreage without a fence or being leashed up but because that won't be possible to do in a new home without leash/boundary training and Roscoe is still pretty frightened by a leash (for reasons unknown) we are requiring that his new home have a fenced yard so that he can have the freedom to go in and out without being leashed.  We also have learned that Roscoe really does need a companion dog.  He finds comfort and peace of mind having another dog to follow their lead.  So a dog friendly, confident and gentle big brother or big sister is what he would like in his new home as well.  Roscoe is silly, loving and playful.  He needs a human that understands he just needs a bit of time and patience to open up and show them how wonderful he truly is!    Roscoe is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and looking for a family who can match his energy and give him the love and attention he deserves.  The pups were likely born early summer 2024 and are altered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  Their adoption fee is $300.00 April 15, 2026, 8:56 pm
