Story
Peetey was one of the 90+ dogs that were rescued from deplorable conditions on New Year's Eve. This beautiful boy has gone through unimaginable things, and you would never know it with how sweet he is. Peetey has never been in a typical household that we know of, so he is going to need training and most importantly patience. He is just now starting to learn how to be a dog and would truly benefit from a slow paced and quiet lifestyle while he is still learning how to be himself. If you think Peetey would be a great addition to your household, please apply or call for more information.

Story
Our big orange ball comes complete with it's 7 year old Aussie mix named Reece. Reecie is a very happy go lucky girl who is housebroken, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and addicted to fetching her big orange ball. She will play for hours and hours with it (or any ball). Reece does have a rear limp which our veterinarian has diagnosed as a dislocated hip - the result of an old injury - which is now healed and best left alone now. It does NOT slow her down or impair her mobility in any way. You would not be sorry - this girl is really special. If you would like to offer her a forever home, please submit an application which you can find on our website (www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org)

Story
Tia is a super sweet 1 1/2 yr old, 50 lb, spayed female cattle dog mix. Her father was pure cattle dog and mother was Doberman, German Shepherd and Lab. She was the last pup from an "oops litter" who I took from a coworker. She is very friendly and playful. Active but not hyper. She would make an excellent sport dog. She is learning to fetch, loves to play with a frisbee (still learning how to catch it) very handler oriented and smart! She has a great nose and would excel at tracking, barn hunt, or nose work. She also has a high prey drive and would enjoy fast cat and/or lure coursing. Her previous owner said she liked to swim and with her toy drive she would also be a good candidate for dock diving. She was not socialized much as a pup so learned how to meet and interact with other dogs once I got her. She is playful and would probably be too playful for a small or older dog. She does well with dog savvy cats (would probably chase those that run.) She walks well on a leash and is clean in a kennel. Tia does not have to be a sport dog but needs more than just a "pet" home. She would not be happy staying in the house or fenced in backyard all day. She needs daily exercise and would make a great companion for an avid runner, hiker, or biker and someone that likes to teach their dog tricks, etc. She is very smart and needs both physical and mental stimulation. Cattle dog and/or German shepherd experience is required. (Australian Kelpie or Belgian Malinois experience would work too.) Completion of basic obedience class will be required. Please email us at fureverloverescue@yahoo.com if you are interested in meeting this sweet girl!

Story
Buddy is an amazing dog. He craves human interaction and is super active. He loves balls and freebies and will play fetch as long as you want. He's probably the smartest dog I ever had, he will pick up any training instantly, he currently knows: sit, stay, lay down, high five, fist bump, stand, turn, leave it, drop it, and gentle. However, he does not do well around other pets, he really needs a home that it's him and his owners. He does become reactive when in the presence of another dog, he has never been around a cat but I would not recommend. He does tend to ignore chickens quite well though. He is a goofball and will be an amazing pet once he has his own place - right now he shares a home with two other dogs and he is stressed by it.
