Story
Esmay is a simple girl that came to our attention at Critter Cavalry Rescue as she struggled to find a place to raise her 7 puppies that she birthed.  The odds were stacked but she managed to bring 3 of the 7 puppies through to the place that they could be adopted during the coming weeks.  This girl weighs 35 pounds and has a sleek, beautiful persona that shouts kindness and courage.  Esme has learning how to enjoy the niceties of being an inside dog as she has raised her puppies.  She is pretty much housebroken, crate trained and is good with all the other dogs and cats at the foster home. She is around young active children (boys) and she keeps her calm demeanor through all the activities of the children.  She is wonderful on a leash and has a slight playful side to her.  We feel that once the puppies are away from her, then she can develop back into a dog that is all about herself and not being a “mom”.  This smallish girl demands little from life or her people.  We are wanting the sun, moon and stars for her future.  Could you give that to her?  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 28, 2024, 4:57 pm

Hello As we are expecting our first child this lovely bundle of energy is needing a home with space! Sad to have to be looking to rehome but genuinely think he needs more time outside than we are able to provide. He is amazing with cats a very curious kind soul. He loves eating his veggies! He is a cattle dog mix, meaning he is always on high alert and a great security system. His birthday is April 4th 2023 Hoping to find someone with yard space and love to take him in.

Story
Ethel is the name given to this pretty girl and honestly it is NOT a pretty enough name for this Cattle Dog girl.  Look at this black beauty with a bob tail and at just a year old, she weighs a little over 20 pounds and is fully grown.   She is adorable and needs a great home that will allow her to play and learn and be a wonderful hiking and family companion.  Ethel is said to be mostly housebroken but a little reinforcing and scheduling will help make that 100%.  What Ethel needs is a foster home and soon a real family or person will come along.  She is very special!!!  ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 28, 2024, 4:57 pm

Story
This heart stompingly precious girl is Zoey! Zoey is a certified wiggle worm who only holds still when picked up. Zoey is a remarkably affectionate Cattle Dog, although she still has some growing to do into her breed. Zoey doesn’t mind being around other dogs, she is usually more focused on human contact. Zoey is ready to be welcomed into a home where she can run free and enjoy the feeling of grass between her paws. Zoey needs someone who understands her intelligence and the nature of Cattle Dogs. This girl is ready to meet you! Please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Story
Hello My name is Barney and I am eight months old – born on Aug 10 . My mother was a cattle dog, and nobody ever meet my dad. I am one of 7 siblings. My foster mom says I am charming or a sweet fellow and sometimes little lover boy. I am respectful around cats and have lived with all sizes of dogs. Sometimes I get a little nosey around other dogs and they can get mad at me. I am learning how to properly socialize with the help of my foster mom. My foster mom also has several young children. I am still learning what some of the yelling and running is about at times in the house, but I am catching on quickly. My foster home for several months was a farm with cows . I have been around tractors and moving vehicles in the yard. I used a doggie door and slept on doggie beds. Now I am at a new foster home to learn new things. I sleep in a crate now . We do adventure days now to places like the creek or hiking trails . Little shy at new things but motivated by treats and encouragement. I think I could be such a great family addition. I am neutered , micro chipped and up to date on vaccinations. I am on monthly heartworm meds and flea/tick meds. My adoption fee covers a health certificate to travel and transportation from Tennessee.
