All of our animals have been spayed or neutered, brought up to date on age appropriate shots, wormed and flea treated.  Our adoption fee is $200 for 7 months and older. 8 weeks to 6 months are $225.  ALL ADULT DOGS COME WITH A ONE (1) WEEK TRIAL.Doba is a 2 year old neutered male Australian Cattle dog mix. House trained (May mark at first, but this is decreasing since his neuter) and crate trained. Good on the leash, rides well in the car. Good with other dogs, timid and submissive, prefers smaller dogs and would also do fine as an only. Older, dog savvy kids at this time. He loves to be outdoors, but is a flight risk so a fenced yard or leash is absolutely necessary at this time. Doba was trapped as a stray by animal control and is going to require someone patient to help him come out of his shell. He is easily overwhelmed. Doba is very, very sweet, just very timid He would like a quiet house that will allow him as much time as he needs to decompress. Rory is a female, 47lb, 7 mo old Shepherd/Heeler mix. Rory is a girl with lots of personality although she seem shy and more reserved when first meeting someone, especially men. Once she is comfortable, Rory becomes your best friend! Rory loves to be where her people are she travels great in a car, and would make a great companion on hikes, eating at a dog friendly restaurant, checking out a new hang out spot or other adventures. Rory can get lonely playing alone so her ideal family would have a playful furry companion to chase balls and chew sticks with. Rory is working on crate training as well as some other manners when she is home alone. She has yet to find a trashcan she doesn't want to explore when left to her own devices. Rory is a herding breed and so fowl like chickens and ducks are more friends to chase than live harmoniously. Rory is often told she is beautiful and her brindle coating is just as soft as it gorgeous. Rory would make a wonderful companion for an active home looking to add a furry friend who likes to play and then snuggle up at the end of the day. Story

We have 2 dogs that would preferably stay together. Rudy and Sadie. Both dogs are muts. Sadie is a living dog that needs way too much attention. She is sensitive to noise but overall listens well and just needs constant attention. Rudy is anxious and has major attachment issues. Very fearful when meeting anyone new but then because obsessed with owner. We adopted both bogs from CAHS in 2018. Both dogs have been completely fine with our child who is now 8 but can’t trust around new kids and certainly not around new adults. Rudy will bite out of fear, haven’t seen aggression. Willing to offer funds to help cover vet bills for a bit as they both require steroid shots for seasonal allergies.

7-16-23 Luna comes into rescue as an owner surrender and lots of moves. She craves attention and is trying to bond to me. She canes without vetting and has had her puppy shots updated. We are STILL waiting to get her in for her spay. Everyone (vets) is 3 months out so sadly she is growing up in rescue. 9-20-23 Luna is now spayed, rabies vaccinated, DHLPP vaccinated, microchipped, etc.   Luna loves attention but can also be defensive.
