Rowdy originally came to us as a stray in February 2025--a very friendly guy! He was adopted two weeks later, but came back to us in July 2025--no fault of his own! The couple who adopted him were having troubles and split up--and Rowdy was protective of the female. However, she could not take him out of state when she moved away and chose to surrender him back to us. He is good with other dogs, house and kennel trained--and waiting for the perfect person(s) to give him a loving home again.

Story
We answered an ad from our local paper from an older gentleman who said he had raised blue heelers for years (Wily is red). We got Willy home and noticed soon after that he was deaf. This made it difficult for us to train him as a cattle dog so our son’s family took him and we got another blue heeler. However, now that the kids are in school and in several activities, Willy is not getting the attention he needs and although they give him toys to play with in their absence, he finds other valuable things he’d rather chew up. That family doesn’t have the time or patience to train a deaf 6 month old puppy. Willy has a sweet disposition but he does like to be in charge if given the choice. He would do well with a family or individual that could give him more attention, teach him hand signals, make sure he’s not near the car when pulling out. This is typical puppy behavior with the added challenge of hearing impairment but Willy has a sweet personality to compensate for any deficiency.

She’s crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is a social butterfly with people and other dogs. Tessa does love to play with canine friends but is still learning how to respect their boundaries continued guidance will help her thrive! She hasn’t been tested with cats yet. Tessa is an energetic girl who loves to fetch and she loves the tether tug pole in our play yard! We will even throw in a free tether tug pole for her forever family! She’d do best in a home that can provide her with plenty of mental and physical enrichment. A fenced yard is ideal to help her safely zoom and play. Tessa’s intelligence and energy are a winning combo—but they mean she’ll need a home committed to giving her structure and outlets.
