Story
Hi y’all, I’m Daisy Mae 🌼 — a gorgeous tan-and-white Cattle Dog / Boxer mix with one striking blue left eye that turns heads wherever I go. I’m about 2 years old and a whopping 86 pounds, though I’m currently watching my figure and working on my beach body with a sensible diet. A girl’s gotta take care of herself, after all. 😉I’m a big, strong, happy-hearted lady who gets very excited about life! I do like to jump up to say hello and can be quick to dart out the door when adventure calls 🚪💨, so I’ll do best with someone who can help me practice polite exits and greetings. I walk well on a leash, though I may pull a bit when I’m feeling enthusiastic, so I wouldn’t be the best match for very small children learning to walk or anyone who’s unsteady on their feet. With steady folks, though, I’m an absolute dream. I’m incredibly friendly and affectionate — think oversized lap dog. 🐶💗 I love cuddles, kisses, and stretching out on a nice comfy couch for quality snuggle time. I’ve got a medium energy level: I enjoy running and playing, but I’m just as happy lounging beside you and watching a movie.I’m fully house trained and crate trained, know my name, and I’m a smart cookie who’s eager to please — I just need a little consistency to really shine in training. I get along great with other dogs of all shapes, sizes, and genders, and while I haven’t been tested with cats yet, I’d likely do fine with a slow and proper introduction. Car rides are one of my favorite things 🚗💨 — I load up easily and ride like a champ. I also love bones and toys, both soft and hard, and I’m always up for a good chew session. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, cuddly, playful companion who can keep up with fun and relax with the best of them, I might just be your girl. 💕📞 Call the shelter at 479-394-5682 to learn more about me or come meet me — I can’t wait to steal your heart! 🐾****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.Adoption Fees:-$60 for cats-$60 for dogs over 6 years-$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years-$100 for puppies up to 6 monthsCome visit our pets Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm.
