Story
Meet Carol 💛 This tiny 8-week-old cattle dog mix has already lived through more than any puppy ever should. She and her siblings were confiscated in an animal cruelty case and once the courts released them, our rural shelter partner did everything they could to keep them safe. But with the shelter extremely over capacity — needing 30+ dogs to leave just to avoid euthanasia — it simply wasn’t a place for babies this little. Thankfully, an amazing foster stepped up, and because of them, Carol and her four siblings were able to come to us. ✨ Carol is sweet, social, loves everyone she meets, and will make an incredible addition to just about any family. But her story is also a reminder of why fostering is literally life-saving right now. With temperatures dropping into the teens on Monday, many dogs at the shelter are living outside 24/7. Think about how cold you are walking to your car — that’s the reality these pups are facing. If you have room in your heart and home, even temporarily, fostering truly changes everything. 🤍 ➡️ Foster applications are available on our website. ➡️ Interested in adopting? Meet December 🤎 This beautiful brindle girl is an 8-week-old cattle dog mix who has already experienced far more than any puppy should. December and her siblings were rescued from an animal cruelty case, and once the courts released them, our rural shelter partner did everything possible to protect them. But with the shelter beyond capacity — facing the reality of 30+ dogs needing to leave to prevent euthanasia — it was no place for fragile little puppies. Thanks to an incredible foster who stepped up when it mattered most, December and her siblings made it safely to us. ✨ December is a sweet, curious, and affectionate girl with a gentle soul and a playful streak. She loves meeting new people and will thrive in a home ready to help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Her story is also a powerful reminder of just how urgent fostering is right now. As temperatures drop into the teens, many dogs at the shelter are still living outdoors around the clock — facing the cold every single day. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign. Opening your home, even temporarily, truly saves lives. 🤍 ➡️ Foster applications are available on our website. ➡️ Interested in adopting? December and all of our available dogs are listed there too. #adopt #dustytailsanimalrescue #fosteringsaveslives #rescuedismyfavouritebreed #adoptdontshop❤️

Meet Noelle 🤍 This beautiful brindle girl is an 8-week-old cattle dog mix who has already experienced far more than a puppy ever should. Noelle and her siblings were confiscated from an animal cruelty case, and once the courts released them, our rural shelter partner did everything possible to keep them safe. But with the shelter critically overcrowded — needing 30+ dogs to leave just to avoid euthanasia — it was no place for vulnerable babies. Thanks to an incredible foster stepping up, Noelle and her siblings were able to leave the shelter and come into our care. ✨ Noelle is gentle, affectionate, and curious about the world around her. She’s the kind of puppy who will quietly steal your heart and grow into a loyal, loving companion. Her journey is also a powerful reminder of why fostering is truly life-saving right now. With temperatures dropping into the teens, many dogs in shelters are living outdoors around the clock — exposed to the cold with nowhere warm to curl up. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is the moment. Even short-term help saves lives. 🤍 ➡️ Foster applications are available on our website. ➡️ Interested in adopting? Noelle and all available dogs are listed there too. #adopt #dustytailsanimalrescue #fosteringsaveslives #rescuedismyfavouritebreed #adoptdontshop ❤️

Story
Meet Aurora ✨💛 At just 8 weeks old, this sweet cattle dog mix has already experienced more hardship than any puppy ever should. Aurora and her siblings were rescued from an animal cruelty case, and once the courts released them, our rural shelter partner did everything possible to protect them. But with the shelter beyond capacity — needing more than 30 dogs to leave simply to prevent euthanasia — it wasn’t a safe place for puppies this young. Thanks to a lifesaving foster stepping up, Aurora and her four siblings were able to leave the shelter and come into our care. Because of that one “yes,” their futures completely changed. Aurora is gentle, affectionate, and curious about the world around her. She loves people, enjoys being social, and has the kind of personality that will grow into an amazing family dog. Her story is also an important reminder of why fostering matters so much right now. With temperatures dropping into the teens, many dogs at the shelter are still living outside around the clock. If you’ve ever considered fostering — even short term — now is the time. It truly saves lives. 🤍 ➡️ Foster applications are available on our website ➡️ Interested in adopting?
