Born in the loving care of a foster home after his mom was rescued from the streets of Austin, Bexar is a true survivor. His mom, a stray, was battling a severe heartworm infection, and sadly, Bexar was the only puppy in his litter to overcome the health challenges he faced at birth. Despite a rough start with parasites and other medical issues, Bexar has made a full recovery! Due to his early medical struggles, he's a bit smaller than your average adult ACD, but what he lacks in size, he makes up for in personality. Bexar is a playful and sweet boy who loves a good game of fetch. He can be a little shy around new people, but he warms up quickly with gentle introductions. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has been raised around chickens, cats, and horses, making him a well-socialized and adaptable companion. Over Thanksgiving this beautiful baby showed up. Just sweet as can be. She looked cold and lost. It took a few days before we realized she was lost or abandoned. It was cold and raining and she trusted our family. So we brought her got her a bath and warmed her up. We checked for a chip and unfortunately there is not one. We contacted local fb pages and surrounding areas to see if we could find her people. We have had no luck. This little girl my kids have been calling her Chili (off bluey). She is amazing. She is potty trained. She is still learning our way but has caught on quickly. We have 6 dogs ( 4 large dogs and 2 smaller), we have cats as well both inside and out. She is amazing with them. We have 4 kids ages 8, 6, 4, and 2. She absolutely adores them. There are ducks here on the property where we live and she doesn’t bother them. She is very well trained understands no stop down. Please give her a home for Christmas.
