Story
Howlywood Undead was brought in as a stray and was never reclaimed. He is a friendly, rambunctious boy who absolutely loves people and thrives on attention. He has a big personality and isn’t shy about using his voice, especially when left alone, so apartment living would likely not be the best fit for him. Howlywood walks fairly well on a leash but can be very excitable and does not yet walk calmly at your side. According to his finder, he was not friendly with other dogs or livestock, so a home where he can be the only animal is recommended. Howlywood Undead is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has been dewormed. He is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Story
Araya is a gentle, affectionate girl who has stolen the hearts of everyone she’s met! She’s the total package—loving, well-behaved, and eager to please. Araya absolutely adores people and loves nothing more than cuddling up close for some belly rubs and movie-night snuggles. Her foster family shared that she was a dream guest—no accidents, no destruction, and perfect manners in the house. She did great being left loose inside for a few hours, and she also does well crated when needed. Araya walks nicely on a leash, enjoys car rides, and even did great for a bath! Araya gets along wonderfully with cats and does fine with dogs, especially after a slow introduction. She can be a little protective of her food or toys, so a patient adopter willing to guide her with positive training will help her shine even more. Her most recent foster believes she’d do fantastic with a confident, friendly dog companion to help her feel secure. Araya is very smart and learns quickly—she’s the kind of dog who wants to make her people proud. She can be a bit nervous with new situations, loud noises, or sudden commotion, but she settles beautifully in a calm and understanding home. Araya is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and on prevention. She’s ready to find her forever family—one that will give her the love, security, and belly scratches she deserves!

Story
Twiddle has had a tougher journey than most pups her age. Found as a stray and adopted three different times, she’s been returned through no fault of her own—her first adopter no longer wanted her, her second home wasn’t a good match with the resident dog, and her most recent adopter simply no longer had time for her. Now Twiddle is hoping that her next home will finally be her forever one. Despite everything she’s been through, Twiddle is a sweet, people-oriented girl who loves attention. She’s known to whine a little when she’s feeling left out, but she warms up quickly to new people and has done well with children. Twiddle needs a home without cats or small animals, and she can be selective with other dogs. In her last home, she did great with a male dog her size but had issues with smaller dogs, so a meet-and-greet with any resident dog is strongly recommended. She is housebroken and has been fine either crated or left loose when home alone. Twiddle rides well in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and loves opportunities to run, play, and stretch her legs. Twiddle is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated for DHPP and Bordetella. She is pending her heartworm test, and her adopter will need to update her rabies vaccination. This resilient, affectionate girl deserves stability and love—could you be the one to give Twiddle the home she’s been waiting for?

Story
Lucky’s journey hasn’t been the easiest—she was originally adopted from us in 2024 and recently returned as a stray in rough shape. With just two weeks of good food and care, she’s already bounced back and is ready to find her true forever home. At almost 2 years old, Lucky still has that fun, puppy-like energy and zest for life. She loves people and often shows it by jumping up for attention, so some manners training will go a long way with her. She’ll also benefit from continued leash work and housetraining, though she is comfortable in a crate. Lucky hasn’t been tested with other dogs or cats yet, so we’ll update as we learn more. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. If you’re looking for a happy, bouncy companion who just needs a little guidance and a lot of love, Lucky could be the one for you!

Story
Weston was found as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed. Despite his unknown past, he’s proven to be a sweet, goofy, and affectionate boy who absolutely loves attention. If you're looking for a loyal companion who’s always excited to see you, Weston might be your perfect match! He walks well on a leash, crates comfortably, and rides well in the car, making him a great candidate for both active and laid-back households. Weston enjoys playing with other dogs, but he can be very forceful with his play and doesn’t always understand his size. He may be too persistent with dogs that don’t want to play and tends to play rough with people as well—using his paws and being a bit mouthy. Because of this, continued training and appropriate boundaries will be important. Weston is not yet potty trained and did not do well being left loose in the house while people were gone. His foster believes he will do best with structure, supervision, and plenty of mental enrichment to keep his busy brain occupied in addition to regular exercise. He has not been tested with cats or livestock. As always, we highly recommend a meet-and-greet with any current household dogs to ensure a good fit. We’re still getting to know Weston and will continue to update his profile as we learn more about him. Weston is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Please Note: All adoptions are first come, first served on the day of availability. ECHS does not reserve animals for the public for any reason. Availability is subject to change at ECHS's discretion.

Story
Daisy was brought in as a stray and was never reclaimed. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely loves attention and truly believes she’s a lap dog. Daisy isn’t a fan of being left alone in her kennel and has proven to be quite the escape artist—she can jump and climb a chain-link gate—so she’ll need a secure fence to keep her safe. As a young pup, Daisy is still learning the basics and will need continued leash and potty training in her new home. She has received 2 of her 3 DHPP vaccinations, a Bordetella vaccination, and her rabies vaccination. She is spayed, microchipped, and dewormed.

Story
Carrie Underwoof was brought in as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed. She is a very sweet girl who can be quite timid, especially around new people, and will need a patient, understanding home to help her build confidence. Due to her nervous nature, a home without young children is recommended. Carrie walks fairly well on a leash, though doorways can still be a bit scary for her. She has not been formally dog-tested yet, but she hasn’t seemed to mind her nearby dog neighbors so far. Carrie Underwoof is heartworm negative and currently on prevention. She has received her DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations, has started dewormer, and is scheduled to be spayed on 12/19. With time, consistency, and gentle encouragement, Carrie has the potential to truly blossom in a loving home.

Story
Lily was surrendered through no fault of her own and has shown just how resilient she is. After a few days of settling into the busy shelter environment, she has blossomed into a happy girl who eagerly soaks up attention from anyone willing to give it. She is said to do well with other dogs and children, though she has never been around cats. Lily loves toys—especially balls—and enjoys playtime as much as cuddle time. She is housebroken, crate trained, and rides calmly in the car. She also does well on leash, making her a great companion for walks. Lily does get a little lonely when left by herself and may howl, so she would do best in a home where she isn’t left alone for long periods. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated for DHPP and Bordetella, and heartworm negative. She is pending dewormer and preventatives, and her adopter will just need to update her rabies vaccination. Lily is ready to bring love, fun, and loyalty into her forever home—could it be with you?
