Story
 Corky is about 5 years old and lived with the Amish, but he started killing cats and it became an issue so he's looking for a new home. He's a chunky guy around 55 pounds now (down from 70) and could stand to lose a few! He's a bit aloof and skeptical of new people, but he's still new here and will hopefully start opening up soon. He doesn't like to be poked and prodded, and will make it known with a snarl- young kids still learning boundaries would probably be a bit too much for him but older kids would be fine.  If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application.  Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts.  Please visit our website for additional information. Meet Jesse! Jesse came to us after being found as a stray and brought to Cadott Vet Clinic. The clinic held onto Jesse for several weeks while searching for an owner and later trying to find him a home. During that time, they made sure Jesse was neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Unfortunately, a home didn’t come together, so Jesse was transferred to our care. While at the clinic, staff were able to learn quite a bit about Jesse. He appears to do well with other dogs, though slow introductions are recommended. Jesse will chase cats, so a cat-free home would be best. He has been around older children (ages 9–11) and has done well with them. Jesse is an active, loving dog who is always on the go. He loves to play ball (as long as it’s larger than a tennis ball), rides well in the car, and is very food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. Jesse is estimated to be around 4 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find a home that can match his energy and give him the love he deserves.
