Story
**Meet Our Quiet Companion, Corky** This 5-year-old Aussie and Shiba mix is a loving, 55-pound (previously 70 pounds and working on shedding a bit more) companion with a graceful presence. Though a little aloof at first, he quickly warms up and shows his gentle and loving side. Walks beautifully on a leash and is very gentle when taking treats. Knows basic commands and responds well to hand signals, showcasing his intelligence and attentiveness. Remarkably, he is the quietest dog at our facility, perfect for a peaceful household. Due to past interactions, he needs to be the only animal in the home. Cats and other dogs are not recommended. We recommend a home with children aged 12 and up, where he can enjoy companionship while ensuring everyone feels comfortable. Corky is seeking a calm and loving home where he can be the center of attention. His ideal family will appreciate his quiet nature and be ready to provide the care and companionship he deserves. With his charm and loyalty, he’ll fit perfectly into a family ready to love him as their sole pet. If you’re looking for a loyal and well-mannered companion to welcome into your home, this delightful Aussie/Shiba mix is ready to meet you!   If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application.  Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts.  Please visit our website for additional information. Story
Meet Jesse! Jesse came to us after being found as a stray and brought to Cadott Vet Clinic. The clinic held onto Jesse for several weeks while searching for an owner and later trying to find him a home. During that time, they made sure Jesse was neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Unfortunately, a home didn’t come together, so Jesse was transferred to our care. While at the clinic, staff were able to learn quite a bit about Jesse. He appears to do well with other dogs, though slow introductions are recommended. Jesse will chase cats, so a cat-free home would be best. He has been around older children (ages 9–11) and has done well with them. Jesse is an active, loving dog who is always on the go. He loves to play ball (as long as it’s larger than a tennis ball), rides well in the car, and is very food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. Jesse is estimated to be around 4 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find a home that can match his energy and give him the love he deserves.

Story
Meet Della! Della was brought to us as a stray that was never claimed. We don't have any background on her but this is what we know: Della LOVES butt scratches. Della is selective with dogs here at the shelter. We are working on finding her a playmate and socializing her with other dogs, and she is doing well. Della is smart, however she is very picky on the type of treats she likes. Della's adoption fee is $150
