Name: Comet Age: 2.5 months Breed: Heeler mix  Gender: Female  Weight: 10 lbs Good with kids: yes Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: unknown  Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: Yes Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Foster location: New London  Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: With a face as white as snow, a heart made of gold, and eyes that just melt your heart &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143,  Comet has arrived and is here to make a family's dreams come true with the best 4 legged friend ever.  Comet is definitely a foster favorite and has been her foster momma's shadow no matter where she goes. After grumbling in her kennel for just a few minutes at night she has already learned to be calm and quiet overnight. Comet is doing great with the beginning stages of potty training and loves the other dogs in the home. She does good with kids, but will need continued training to ensure she is her very best. Lots of exercise and mental stimulation will help her lessen all her Heeler energy at the end of the day.  Comet is one of the smallest pups in her litter and stands out as the only one that's mostly all white. She has a very loving and sweet personality that is sure to win you over. Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. An approved application does not mean you must adopt the dog of interest, if it isn't a good fit.December 6, 2025, 5:07 pm

Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 8/10 Housetraining Status: I am housetrained, although it may take me some time to adjust in my new home I should do well in a home: I should do well with children of all ages given proper supervision. Story
Meet Misty! Misty came to CCHS towards the middle of October from a local farm. She was living with an Amish family who decided to move and didn't want to take her along. Misty is, well, a chunk. Normally a Heeler mix is 40-50 #. Misty weighs 83#. At only 1 1/2 years of age, this is just really overweight for her. Misty is a pretty girl with a short-haired coat that is blue and red merle with some black highlights. She has had a lot of adjustments coming to the Shelter from an Amish farm. And given her size, if she doesn't want to go somewhere, she doesn't. But she is learning that everybody here at the Shelter is really nice and we all just want to help her. Misty would benefit from a quiet and patient furever home that can meet her where she is at with a gentle, loving touch. She also needs to find a new family that understands the importance of weight management! With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the dog. Apply for Misty today! You can go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!

Story
Meet Harvey! Harvey came to CCHS from a local farm earlier this August. This handsome Heeler mix is just about a year old and weighs roughly 41.6lbs currently. Harvey is a shining pup with a smile to match! He is as sweet as can be, though he can start out a little timid at times. Harvey is a smart guy, just waiting to figure out all of life's puzzles and snufflemats! He would benefit from an active furever home that can help burn some of that remaining puppy energy! While we aren't entirely certain what his exact breed makeup is, we can tell you he is 100% your newest front seat co-pilot! With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the dog. Apply for Harvey today! You can go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $150. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.
