Story
Pan is a 4yo neutered male Australian Shepherd. He has been a loved member of our family since we brought him home as a puppy. Pan is adventurous, goofy, and affectionate. He loves catching balls and playing tug. He enjoys hiking and camping. He is always down to snuggle. He is a good traveler, walks well on a leash, and is a great around-the-town pup. Unfortunately Pan has a nipping problem with small children and we can no longer have him in the same house with our toddler. His two biting incidents were provoked by my daughter climbing on top of him or pulling his fur. Pan plays well with older children, and we frequently dogsit him in a home with a 12yo boy who absolutely loves him. Pan would do well in a house as the only dog with adults or older children. He is still very active and needs daily walks or play. He also need someone who is willing to spend time with training to help manage his anxiety.

Story
He was abandoned with my old roomate in front of a petco in 2022. He had major behavioral issues, and since she was a dog trainer, we worked together to sort of fix him. He doesnt get along with other dogs right away, but after a couple safe introductions with boundaries he can make friends. He used to live with 4 other dogs happily. He just needs time. He knows a lot of tricks and is very food motivated, never has house accidents, and is pretty silly and sweet. The goofiest of geese. He is not destructive when hes alone, besides shredding his own toys or pulling his doggy bed around the house. he is very high energy and needs to be walked and trained regularly, and his food should always be fed in numerous puzzle toys. I work 10+ hour days, and although I take a break half way to potty him, I know he needs more. I'm depressed and I didnt intend to keep him beyond fixing his major behavioral problems. I just cant take him to a shelter. He deserves someone that can love him.

Story
This is Lyric, and I find myself singing, “You are my Sunshine”, when she’s playing with her ball.  She gets so excited when we go outside because she knows it’s “BALL TIME”!  Now, I only get to throw it once, but she’s off like a shot and does come back with it—but doesn’t want to drop it—yet.  She circles me in a little dance making sure I see that she has it, then waits while I throw a ball for another dog and she runs after him—she doesn’t want his ball—she just wants to make sure he gets it and brings it back so she can run after him again.  Lyric can be shy at first but she warms up and is very sweet and such a great dog. She loves touch and will indicate when a belly rub is needed.  She listens well and has had 6 weeks of training to help build her confidence at The Complete Canine...   She loves all the dogs, big or little—and initiates play with all of them. She will definitely need a dog friend. At obedience class she was sad that she couldn’t visit every dog there whenever she wanted to.  A secure backyard is essential.  She is also excited when someone spies a lizard and takes off after it.  She doesn’t need to know what’s being chased, she just joins in wholeheartedly.    Lyric is completely housebroken—never had an accident in the house, and she’s crate trained and sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate.  According to her last weigh-in she’s 56 lbs. and she is 5 years old. She has very long legs and (warning) can reach things she shouldn’t from counters and tables. She would do best with an active, attentive, family, prepared to offer her reward-based, loving, patient instruction. She’ll need doggy friends, for sure! Older kids would be good—I think she’d like younger kids, too, but she’s big and sometimes doesn’t look where she’s going, so might be too much for smaller children. I’ve never heard her growl or seen her bare her teeth.   We did her DNA and she’s got some great smart genes, promising an amazing potential with the proper guidance.  There are the three main breeds, Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, and Australian Cattle Dog, (making up about 75%). She does have some arthritis in her back legs, but it doesn’t stop her from running like mad and jumping 3 feet into the air to catch a ball. She takes a pill twice a day—very reasonably priced that keeps her arthritis in check. She loves her people, food, other dogs, and especially tennis balls!   To see this lovely lady please go to our website to fill out an adoption application www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com   Lyric is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Catalina, Sahuarita and Oro Valley only. Her adoption fee is $275 with an additional $21 for PACC licensing. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.      *Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.  Compliance does not imply or guarantee adoption.   Approval is the sole discretion of CWN representative(s). Story
we call him Grampa, he is five years old. He is a border collie great Pyrenees mix. He is house trained loves going on walks very good on the leash, and is a big old cuddle bug. He is kind of a couch potato once he gets warmed up to you he will always ask for a head scratches. He does have territory issues so he’s not very suited with another male dog, big or small, he’s much more suited to be on his own or with a female dog. He’s also very good at being left at home uncaged and he does not destroy anything but he will sit on your couch if you let him, hence couch potato. He is kennel trained but does not prefer it

Story
Mouse is the most loyal dog you will ever have. He loves hard and would do anything to make you happy. He is energetic, smart, and a fast learner. He is seven years-old, house trained with a doggy door, and he picks up new commands incredibly quickly when given high value treats and encouragement. Mouse is small and his hypoallergenic fur makes him perfect for a household where there are allergies. He loves to play but he is also an amazing cuddler. He loves nothing more than to curl up on your softest and fluffiest blankets. His shepherd tendencies and general anxiety do sometimes cause him to nip, but in a home with little chaos, calm childfree adults, and no other (or small dogs only) we know he will absolutely thrive.

Story
Meet Ezee.  He's 3 years old and 45 lbs. Crate trained, house broken, and an exuberant, happy young man. Plus, he's super good looking! Check out those Scharpei ears and that long-legged strong body!  He's also a gorgeous dark brown--in the sun he's positively glorious! We were told he likes all dogs, and he's proven that to be a fact, he even gets along with little Pixie who is apt to give him a snap if he comes too close to her. He obeys dogs he knows have been here longer, and tries to follow their lead. He loves to chase a ball, but will hold it in his mouth and won't drop it so I can throw it again--yet. His notes also said he was leery of new people. He came home and ran into the back yard. He saw me sit down on the patio swing and came right over, jumped up and cuddled into my side! Maybe he just likes old people?? He's obedient, needs a few directions, but I'm very pleased with how quickly he learns and remembers. Those very long legs  can reach the table or counter. You’ll learn to push stuff back out of the way!  He sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate. I don't remember when a new dog was so quickly integrated into our pack. He will definitely need one or more dogs as friends,  and a secure, tall fence around the yard!   Ezee's adoption fee is $275, with an additional $21 PACC license fee. He is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina and Sahuarita only.
