Story
This big playful boy came to us by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services, as they were running out of space. We often pull dogs from other shelters that don’t have the luxury of time that we do at ARC. Ozzie is affectionate, playful and very energetic. It would be best if he went to a home that had adequate time to train him and had experience in handling large breed dogs. Our staff has slowly been socializing him with other dogs, but it’s still a work in progress. At this point, we are recommending that he does not go to a home with small children. Ozzie would also not do well in a home with cats. But… if you’re an active and energetic home with older children and the time to provide Ozzie the play and exercise he needs, you might just be a great home for him! Why not make an appointment to visit this handsome fellow today?! Adoption fee is $50 during our Bissell Empty the Shelters event 5/1 – 5/15!! Application must be submitted to secure an appointment! Our beautiful Madison would like to remind everyone that she is looking for her forever home! She is a very sweet, chocolate brown Shepherd mix. The only thing bigger than Madison’s smile is her loving heart! She is an active girl but very well behaved on her leash. She enjoys going for walks and showing off her impressive breakdancing skills! She is also very talented at catching treats! Her breed is a best guess... maybe Cattle dog or Kelpie and Lab. She's a very sweet, friendly girl with lots of energy. She has been ok with the dogs at the rescue and another dog that has a high energy level could be a good match for Madison to have as a playmate. Madison is estimated to be about 2.5 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. Her $250 adoption fee has been reduced to $50 and covers vetting, up to date shots, deworming, spay, heartworm test (negative) and microchip, all already done.. If you are interested in adopting Madison, please complete an application at www.gofar.dog under "Adopt".If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog.
