Story
December is a beautiful 1.5-year-old Border Collie/Kelpie mix with a heart as big as her energy levels. She's incredibly smart, loyal, and eager to please—making her a dream for someone experienced with working breeds. This girl is very energetic and athletic, thriving in environments where she can run, play, and stay mentally engaged. She absolutely loves car rides and a good game of fetch, and she'll happily be your adventure partner wherever you go. December does best with dogs her size or bigger and must have a dog companion in the home—she feels safest and happiest with a canine friend by her side. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she becomes a total cuddle bug who bonds deeply with her people. Because of her herding instincts, December needs a home with absolutely no cats or livestock. She also experiences separation anxiety, so she'll need a patient and understanding owner who can help her feel secure and continue building her confidence. December would thrive in an active, experienced home that can provide structure, exercise, and lots of love. In return, she'll give you unwavering loyalty, affection, and a lifetime of companionship. If you're looking for a smart, active, and devoted best friend—December might just be your perfect match.
