After being neglected and dumped, she was in rough shape, but thanks to proper care and the love of her foster family, Dorothy has blossomed into a happy, vibrant dog. Her foster says she is no couch potato — now that her medical issues have been addressed, she has a new lease on life. Dorothy absolutely loves her walks, enjoys staying active, and is proving to be a wonderful farm dog. She gets along with all the other animals and is gentle, kind, and well-mannered. Dorothy is affectionate, loyal, and eager to be part of her family’s daily routine. She still appreciates a soft bed and plenty of love, but she also thrives on activity and companionship. Nera will be 4 years old on December 6, 2025. She came to us as a baby from a breeder in Utah. Nera is a sweet tempered, lovable dog, cuddly when she wants to be. She will pretty much set the time and place for cuddles. She will choose the person she wants to sleep with, if she chooses anyone at all or prefers to sleep alone. She loves activity and would need a family that is active to take her on walks, runs, hikes. She isn’t used to a lot of this, and her new family would have to start slowly. She can be very playful but she will choose the time and place. She likes to play pull, and she will bring you toys. Don’t be worried if she gets bored playing quickly. It’s breaking my heart to rehome my beloved dog, but due to an unexpected medical condition, I can no longer care for her. Right now she is with a wonderful family and is happy.
