Jenny came to us from our local shelter where she had just given birth. We moved her and her puppies into one of our foster homes so she could relax and raise her family in peace. Jenny is shy in new situations and with new people but once she warms up, she is the sweetest, affectionate girl who loves to give hugs! She loves to play with a friendly dog in her size range but is also content to throw toys in the air all by herself! 🌲 Meet Spruce — Your Goofy, Cuddly Little Pinecone 🌲 Hi, I’m Spruce, an adorable Red Heeler baby with big puppy energy and an even bigger heart. I’m still very much just a baby, which means I’m goofy, clumsy, and sometimes run like a tiny horse with a stiff leg (it’s hilarious, trust me). I’m high-energy, super soft, and extra cuddly once I know you. Treats are my love language, and if you ever lie on the floor like you’re hurt, I’ll immediately nuzzle, whine, and try to “save” you — emotional support pup in training 💕 I love sticks, balls, and zooming around, and I walk pretty well on a leash for a youngster. I’m friendly and wiggly with people, though I can be a bit skittish at first, and I’m still learning confidence in the world. I’m currently working on potty training and will need continued consistency and patience to help me succeed. Like most puppies, I’m also still learning my manners — that includes some chewing, occasional nippiness, and ongoing training. 🐾 Dog dynamics: I do great with female dogs and need to be in a female-dog-only home. 👶 Kids: I’m not a match for homes with toddlers, especially around food time. ✨ Ideal home: an experienced, patient human who understands puppies (and herding breeds!) and is ready to guide me as I grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be. I’m funny, sweet, cuddly, a little bit of a pain in the booty, and 100% worth it 💚 If you’re looking for a loving, silly, work-in-progress best friend, I might just be your guy.
