Story
Stella is a friendly and intelligent dog with plenty of energy. We want her to be happy and have a space where she can run around and play with other dogs. Previously, Stella lived in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and had lots of friends to play with. Now, she is living in a townhouse without a yard, which has been challenging for her. As a very active young lady, she is currently feeling unhappy. Stella is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever, and she is expected to weigh around 30 pounds. She is a loving and eager-to-learn dog who picks up new skills quickly. Stella would be an amazing agility dog, as this would engage both her mind and her need for physical activity. If agility training isn't your interest, she would also thrive in an active lifestyle with an avid walker, hiker, or runner.  Stella is a very quick learner and was immediately fully potty trained.     To ensure the best for Stella, her new owners should have a yard or live on a farm, and it would be great if they have another dog and children.  Stella has plenty of energy to add playing at home to her list of activities.    Stella has been spayed and is current on all her shots until May 2026.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Stella is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  July 30, 2025, 9:47 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Zara! I am a beautiful gray and white 3-year-old Australian Shepherd Poodle mix. While ladies typically don’t disclose their weight, I am about 50 lbs. If you are a smart and active person or couple looking to adopt a dog with a similar temperament, then we could be a great match! I love going for walks and would appreciate having someone who can incorporate that into my daily routine. Getting outside for exercise is something I enjoy, and I would also make an excellent running companion. Visiting the park or going on hikes would be a lot of fun, too! Not to brag, but I believe I'm quite a looker, and I’m confident that if you took me to the park, we would make lots of friends together. While I love people, I am not used to being around other dogs, so a dog park wouldn’t be suitable for me. However, I’m always up for hanging out where the people are! I’m also a bit too energetic for young children; I sometimes forget that I'm bigger than they are and might accidentally knock them over. It would be wonderful if someone in the household could work from home, as I am crate-trained but don't like spending long hours alone. I thrive on human interaction and am seeking a loving home.  I promise to return your love! If you would like to be considered for my forever family, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. Please note that an approved application and adoption fee are required. Story
Meet Miss Kitty – A Heart Ready to Bloom   Miss Kitty’s story is one of transformation, hope, and quiet bravery. This stunning 2-year-old Aussie mix (around 70 lbs) was once part of a large group of neglected dogs—left without love, attention, or hugs daily.  The days of indifference from humans are long behind her. With the help of a kind foster home, Miss Kitty has discovered the beauty of human kindness, human touch and now she’s ready to find a forever family of her own.  In just two months, she’s blossomed from a shy, uncertain girl into a dog who seeks out affection and enjoys the company of people—especially children, who she now happily follows with her tail wagging. She’s gentle with dogs of all sizes and loves running and playing with her friends in open spaces. Cats are still a mystery to her, but she’s learned to coexist respectfully.Miss Kitty is still gaining confidence with new experiences—like walking on a leash and spending time indoors—but her courage grows every day. She’s curious, sweet, and has a heart that’s learning to trust completely. With a little patience and a lot of love, this beautiful girl will reward her forever family with endless devotion and loyalty. If you’re looking to make a difference in a dog’s life and watch a soul truly bloom, Miss Kitty is waiting for you.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to meet Miss Kitty today!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 18, 2025, 4:58 pm

Story
A Message From Boone — Your Milk-Chocolate Tennessee Boy   Hi there, I’m Boone! I was born on July 4th in a little rural Tennessee town, and my foster mom says I’m as “sweet as milk chocolate” thanks to my Lab momma (a gorgeous dark chocolate girl) and my Australian Shepherd daddy. Somehow, I ended up looking like the best mix of both—soft, sweet, and full of love.  I’m still a little guy at about 15 pounds, but I’m making up for lost time. Before coming to my foster home, I didn’t have much room to grow or explore—I spent my early life mostly in a tub and then a crate and really didn't have enough food to nourish my growing puppy body. Now that I have space to run, play, learn, and be a well-fed and loved puppy, I’m soaking it all in. Foster mom says watching me discover the world has been one of her favorite things. As I grow, I’ll likely reach around 50 pounds, with long, soft fur that will be absolutely beautiful once I’m fully grown. Right now, I’m focusing on good food, building healthy muscles, and learning what love and attention really feel like—and oh boy, do I love it.    My dream home?A family that has time to show me how great life can be. A fenced yard to zoom around in, and maybe some kids to grow up with. Another dog would be amazing—I am learning lots from the adult dogs here in my foster home.  I would love to have parents who love training a smart pup  like me and because I am smart. I really do want to learn everything I can. I’ve started crate training, and I’m doing great with that. Leashes are still a bit confusing, but my foster mom says I’m trying so hard, and with gentle teaching I’ll soon realize walks are one of life’s best adventures.   I’ll be ready to go home beginning December 12th—just in time to curl up under someone’s Christmas tree and wait for Santa with my new family. My foster parents take wonderful care of me, but I know my real home is out there. I’m hoping my next car ride will be the one that takes me to my forever family—the one who will treat me like their little prince. If that sounds like you, please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. I’ve got Christmas kisses ready and waiting.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 11, 2025, 7:13 pm

Story
Max is my mother’s dog. She is senior and moved in with us. We already have 2 large dogs and while they get along, together the 3 are too energetic for the size of our house and a busy work and school schedule. Max is also a breed to would benefit from someone who walks and with play with him as my mom isn't very active. Skittish at first especially of men but great with family members he knows and trust. Wonderful with my kids. Not sure on cats but tries to heard things. Crate and house trained. When we lived out in the country he loves to run and play. Would be great for someone who is active and looking for a companion.

Story
Ready to go nuts for Pistachio? Say hello to Pistachio, a young shepherd mix bursting with energy, personality, and a whole lot of love to give! At just around a year old, Pistachio is a wiggle butt and doesn’t sit still for long when out & about. At home he’s as cuddly as he is fluffy. He’s learning the art of settling with routine & consistency thanks to his foster who has professional dog training experience. We don’t know his exact breed mix but we suspect he has some type of herding genes. A home without young kids would be best. Pistachio gets along well with other playful pups and would be thrilled to have a tolerant or equally energetic doggy sibling—or he’ll happily take all your attention as a solo sidekick. He’s the perfect fit for an active person that’s willing to maintain the structure he’s accustomed to and continue working on basic obedience. His foster is also more than willing to offer training support after adoption as well. Pistachio is housebroken, crate trained, & rides well in a car. Pistachio is UTD on vaccines, kept on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, neutered & microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website and fill out an application. www.thefosterdoghouse.org/adopt

Story
Rolo is a very obedient and well trained dog. He loves most all people (except he's scared of the delivery men and runs away after he barks a couple times to let you know they are coming.) and loves being loved by people. Rolo is content spending lots of time indoors and does not pee or poop in the house even when he is inside for long periods of time. We usually keep Rolo outside most of the day as he seems to enjoy that as well. Rolo loves sleeping in his crate and likes spending time in the crate as well. Rolo is a young 13 years old and still enjoys being somewhat active with light running around and taking walks. We feel he has several more good somewhat active years left in him. We are needing to rehome Rolo as we do lots of traveling for long periods of time and Rolo gets anxious and does not like it when we are gone for many days on end and it has become unfair to him. He would love a home where he gets lots of attention.
