Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 19, 2024, 7:30 pm

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 35 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 19, 2024, 7:30 pm

Story
Our precious little Australian Shepherd girl is called Calista and she was found on a very obscure country back road and had apparently been running for days and maybe longer.  She was so scared and the country neighbors that saw her day after day running with such confusion, finally cornered her in a ditch and caught her to stop the fright and flight pattern she had been chasing. This little girl is 5 months old and weighs 18 pounds.  She is starting to relax and trust and she is pure love and sweetness. She is fine with cats, dogs, a 4 year old busy and active little boy, and she is good with the chickens and goats that roam the foster mini-farm.   She is a true beauty and has apparently all the standard Australian Shepherd traits that denote a purebred dog.  How she came to be dumped is beyond our comprehension.  These days the dog abandonment is on a huge rise and curve that leaves us so puzzled.  She will not be more than a 40 pound girl when fully grown. A tri-colored Aussie girl with a kind spirit and a softness in life.   If you are interested, please contact us via email and ask for an adoption form.  ccrnewengland@gmail.com    She is ready to go!!! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 19, 2024, 7:30 pm

Story
Our girl Poppy is a beautiful 7-8 month old girl that looks to be an Australian Shepherd and maybe mixed with Bernese Mountain Dog.   What a beauty this girl is and so well behaved for a young pup that was discarded and auctioned off at a farm auction. She is currently 30-35 pounds and destined to be a 45-50 pound girl when fully grown.  This girl has not had the best start from what we can tell but what amazes us is that she knows how to walk obediently on a leash like she was trained for it.  She knows some house manners and she is very easily corrected. This gem of a puppy will be a treasure to adopt as a family companion.  She is very easy going and calm and great with other dogs of all sizes and ages, cats and kittens are no big deal for her and she is good riding in a car.  She is around young children and adores them.   We cannot say that she is housebroken because we actually took her from an outside pen that was not the cleanest and had only a dog house with no tarp or top. She has endured some heavy rain and weather that has had tornado winds and lightning.  She has remained a great puppy despite all the scary situations the past few months.  We will require a fenced yard, someone that has time to train her and not crate her for 9 hours daily.    She is long furred and probably still growing into a delightful freckle faced beauty.  If you want to make this girl yours for a lifetime then email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com             PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 19, 2024, 7:30 pm

Story
The world sure is changing fast and so are the wonderful dogs that are now available in the rescue world.  Sadly so many are adopted as sweet and cuddly puppies, only to be discarded later because the people are too busy and just not willing to do all the right things the dog needs.  This pure bred Australian Shepherd girl is called Robin and she is only 2 years old and weighs 36 lbs.  She truly was not worked with much in her early two years of life and now she is a “free agent” looking for a better and more Aussie savvy family.  She is shy because she has had few life experiences out and away from home.  She is smart, eager to please but needs a little time to warm up to the new people that approach her.  All of this shyness can be reversed and reinforced with confidence from a new and smart family.  It took about an hour when her current foster first met Robin.  After that it was pet me and love on me.  This beauty is thirsty for love and affirmation that she is special.  With her breed she needs a fenced in yard and we know she would love a playmate at the home.  She gets along great with other dogs and does fine with cats.  Her other special “super powers” are that she is crate trained and is pretty much house trained as long as taken out regularly on a known schedule that she is good with.  She has a beautiful coat and coloring that is very typical for the Aussie breed.  Robin has been around a 3 yr old toddler and shown herself to be gentle, kind and tolerant of the special noises and activities from such an age.  What a great attribute for Robin to have!  Robin loves to be around her people and would like an active family to go on adventures with.  As well as activity, she also loves to be on the couch for snuggles.  Goodness what versatility that this Australian Shepherd has to offer a family that knows the unique quality of her breed.  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and ask for an application and note where you life:  city and state! Story
This is Blue Eyed Lola and she came to our rescue as a very starved nursing momma dog with 6 puppies draining her daily while nursing.  She had been a stray with no food provided for her as she tried to keep her babies alive.  She has now put back on her weight and a tad more than needed but she is safe and loved and trying to find her new family to love.  She is a timid but extremely calm girl that is an Aussie mix with the prettiest blue eyes.  She just wants to belong to someone and her foster mom is so touched by her sweet soul and how she tries to almost be invisible in life and not be a problem.  She needs some confidence building and some training that will make her feel smart!  She is good with other dogs and very submissive to them.  She is just fine with cats and almost completely housebroken.  We love our little Blue Eyed Lola and want the rest of her life to be easy and for her to a treasured part of someone’s family or even a single person’s BFF.  She is great on a leash and rides very well in a car.  She is ready to explore life with someone that wants her to come along.  Lola will be forever grateful to have a chance to love you.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  Let us know where you live:  city and state. Story
Still looking for a BETTER place for our 6-Year-Old Black Tri-color Australian Shepherd He is a very smart and cuddly dog who loves to play fetch. We are heartbroken to even consider rehoming him, but his reactivity has turned into aggression because he is in the wrong environment (trucks, bikes, kids, strollers&hellip). He bit my husband 2 years ago (severe bite) because he was trying to keep him away from biting our other dog. We went to many trainers and a certified behavior specialist who strongly advised against keeping him or even euthanizing him because he can’t be trusted around children. If there is anyone in a remote area without children, male dogs or cats please reach out.

Introducing Dante! This handsome boy loves his people more than anything. He is fearful when meeting people he doesn't know but warms up quickly with a proper introduction. Dante thrives best in a structured environment with good leadership & dog knowledgeable humans. He loves playing with other dogs but would also be happy as an only dog. Dante will do best in a home with a fenced yard & people who are home more often than not. Older kids are always best for an Australian Shepherd mix & Dante appreciates gentle handling best. Story
16-month old male. He came to us as an 8 week old, injured stray, although we were able to track down his origins to confirm parentage, the owners did not want him back. He is very healthy now. He knows basic commands of sit, down, heel, come, and stay and is a total ball of energy who sometimes struggles to heed commands. He is a very happy boy who needs a lot of room to run. He is house broken to the crate and the laundry room. He is approximately 60 lbs and largely does well with other animals, but has been noted to be possessive of toys and food at times so if around other dogs children we have separated. He will chase our chickens and cats sometimes but has never attempted to harm them. The vet has recommended he remain intact until 18-24 months of age to prevent bone/joint/cancer problems in the future.

Story
Cali is a female Miniature Australian Shepherd and is about 8 years old. She's completely updated on shots and vaccinations and is regularly groomed (Lazy 5 is her vet). She knows sit, speak, lay down, and shake. She's good with all adults and children; usually she's good with other dogs but will let males know she's not open for business with a growl. She has been exhibiting anxious behavior and separation anxiety, and because we both work long hours and don't have a fenced in yard for her to expel her energy, we've made the difficult choice to re-home her with someone that can give her the attention she deserves. She will need a home with a fenced in yard, and possibly another brother or sister.

Story
Friendly Finn is a lucky dog.  You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive.  He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years.  TRUTH!   How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter.   Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown.  He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car.  He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding.  Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park.  We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter.  If you are interested in Fostering or Adopting Finn please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 19, 2024, 7:30 pm

Story
Kenzie is a beautiful young, 2 year old example of a stunning Border Collie that is in need of the right home that understands her specialness as a breed. This girl is only 40 pounds and still very much a puppy in her body and soul.  She loves to play in water, like a plastic kiddie pool that is easy to have in the backyard and she is always absorbing new things to learn.  This 40 pound girl is great with other dogs, cats (lived in one) and she is still in her herding mode and young children would not be recommended.  Older children are fine if they understand her herding tendencies.  Kenzie is housebroken, crate trained and is needing a strong leader and family that loves who she is as a breed and willing to take the time to shape and mold her.  She is a stunning dog in manners and personality.   We love Kenzie and she promises to be more than you could ever want in life as a family companion.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 19, 2024, 7:30 pm
