Story
Meet Gumby - your future adventure buddy and cuddle champion all in one Gumby's story began when he was found wandering through a neighborhood in Alabama, with no one coming forward to claim him. But it didn't take long for everyone to see what a special boy he is. Smart, loyal, and full of love, Gumby is the kind of dog who makes a lasting impression from the moment you meet him. This handsome Australian Kelpie mix is incredibly intelligent and already knows some commands - and he's eager to learn more. He thrives on engagement and would love a family who will continue to challenge his sharp mind. True to his breed, Gumby brings a medium-to-high energy level outdoors, making him a perfect match for an active home that enjoys walks, playtime, and maybe even a splash in the water (one of his favorite things!). But don't be fooled - once the adventures are done, Gumby is just as happy to curl up beside you as a total couch potato. He's affectionate, attentive, and deeply devoted to his people. In fact, Gumby has never met a stranger - everyone is a friend in his eyes, and he's always ready to share his love. He enjoys toys, bones, and spending quality time with his humans. He's housebroken, crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and is well-mannered in the home. Gumby gets along well with both kids and other dogs, making him a wonderful addition to many types of families. Because of his energy level, Gumby would do best in a home with a yard where he can run and play - apartment living isn't the right fit for this active boy. Gumby is more than ready to leave his past behind and start his next chapter with a family who will love him as much as he'll love them. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will keep you active and then snuggle up at the end of the day... Story
Backstory:Little Toby was saved from a kill shelter on death row when he was still a puppy. Through an unfortunate set of circumstances, he has bounced around to multiple foster homes, mostly because he is shy of men and doesn't really like small dogs. This has been difficult on Little Toby. He needs patience and love to fully bloom into the great dog we know he is.Little Toby is happy, playful, and ready for a new home. He has played with a select few small to medium dogs, but prefers the company of another dog of his size or larger. He doesn't understand the yappy and nippy behavior of small dogs. He'll take a pass on them. He also prefers the company of women. He happens to like my soft-spoken husband, but he'll pass on most other men. Little Toby is cat friendly though. Bonus! He is intelligent, affectionate, neutered, potty trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is up to date on immunizations and heartworm prevention. Story
CARAMEL | 5 years old | 37 lb | Very friendly and sweet | Toronto Some dogs have a harder start in life than others, and Caramel is one of them. A cancer survivor, Caramel had TVT, a fully curable form of canine cancer. She is now cancer-free and safe in foster care, but she still needs a family to give her the happy second chapter she deserves. Caramel is affectionate, playful and full of love. She has a wonderful smile, loves fetch and enjoys both hiking and couch cuddles. She's great with other dogs, housetrained, good in the car and eager to learn. She can also be your one and only. Despite her difficult past, Caramel is a happy, loving girl who enjoys people, playtime and life's simple pleasures. She would love a fenced yard in a quieter area where she can safely explore and chase squirrels. Caramel has survived the hard part. Now she needs someone to show her what being truly loved feels like. Five years were missed. Let's make every year ahead amazing. If Caramel could be your girl, please reach out.
