Meet Billie!
This petite female heeler may have been found as a stray, but she hasn’t let her past stop her from being an absolute lovebug. Billie is incredibly social and affectionate, and if you’re willing to share your lap, she’ll happily crawl right into it! Don’t let her small size fool you Billie is a high energy, driven girl who thrives when she has both physical exercise and mental enrichment. She’s a smart cookie who loves being engaged with her people, which makes training and learning new things especially fun for her. An active home that enjoys adventures, games, training, and keeping a clever heeler busy would be a great fit. Billie has shown a prey drive, so she’ll need a home without cats or access to small animals. She has done well with the other dogs she’s met and may enjoy having a well balanced male dog companion to share her adventures with. As always, a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs would be important.
Billie is polite on leash, is being introduced to crate training, and is showing signs that she may already be potty trained. Her history with children is unknown, but given her friendly and affectionate nature, we think she could do well with dog savvy children who are comfortable around dogs and understand the importance of respecting their boundaries. And remember she’s a heeler! That means she may occasionally decide that the kids need a little herding assistance It’s all part of the heeler package!
