Story
We acquired Sylvia from the local dog shelter. Sylvia is 4 years old. Sylvia loves being outdoors. I believe she would be a great herding dog and perfect on a farm as I believe she requires to be worked daily. Sylvia would be great in a one or 2 person home. Sylvia is very obedient and listens very well. Sylvia gets protective over food. Best to feed in quiet space alone. We do not think she would be good in a home with children. She needs the attention.

Story
Meet Ganderin Goose - the 1-year-old Shepherd mix who never got the memo about "chill time." 😅 She was found as a stray, and now she's on a mission to turn every day into an adventure.Goofy, energetic, and always on the go, this busy body loves to explore 🌍. She's good with dogs, but her playstyle is definitely "bossy big sister" vibes. Ganderin has a short attention span, so one minute she's zooming around like a rocket, and the next she's distracted by... well, pretty much anything. She'll need some basic manners training (sit still? never heard of her 🤷‍♀️), and a home with kids 10+. If you're ready for a goofy sidekick who will keep life exciting, Ganderin Goose is ready to fly home with you! 🪿✨ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 32.5 Age: 1yrs 9mths 0wks

Story
Approximate DOB: 6/26/2025 Approximate Weight: 14.8 on 10/8 Meet Pickles! -She is very socialized out in public and loves to meet and greet new people. Even big bees! -doing well learning polite leash etiquette -Loves children and ready to go on your next family adventure. - kid and dog friendly -snuggly and loves to give kisses -learning to not jump and share toys Loads of personality packed into this little puppy. Full of life and charisma. May come across as disengaged in a big, busy setting such as adoption events BUT she is a completely different dog at home . Yes she is still spunky and playful, but she also wants to be near you, giving you kisses and the funniest little dog hugs. She is more of a lover girl than she lets on at first. She is incredible with kids, and will have the whole family rolling laughing with her antics. She has been in a home with a cat before , she is intrigued but is learning to respect boundaries ; will do well with cats who are more assertive at teaching those boundaries. She is perfectly crate trained , albeit a little talkative at times as she’d rather be right next to her loved ones. Making great strides in her house training as well and learning basic commands. You will not meet a more food motivated dog so you can essentially teach this smart girl anything. She loves other dogs and puppies and is a fan of “big dog” play , so will do best in a home with other like minded playful dogs. She is so sweet and hoping to get a chance to be the perfect addition to your family . I'm a cute puppy still working on housetraining and crate training. I like to chew on everything, play, eat, and then sleep! As a puppy, I am required to go to training within 90 days of my adoption with a certified trainer. ********************************************************************* Schedule a meet-and-greet by completing our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey.
