Story
Some dogs come into rescue scared, shut down, or uncertain. And then there are dogs like Ralphie… the ones who somehow still choose love. This beautiful boy was found wandering as a stray in a rural Tennessee county — underweight, homeless, and with every reason in the world not to trust people. But from the moment he was safe, Ralphie did the exact opposite. He leaned in. He loved harder. He quietly showed everyone around him what a truly special soul looks like. At only 10 months old, this Min Pin/Kelpie mix already carries the heart of an old friend. The kind of dog who watches your face carefully, stays close without asking for anything, and seems to understand emotions in a way that almost doesn’t feel possible. Ralphie is the dog who would sit beside you through heartbreak, grief, loneliness, or hard days without ever leaving your side. He has the heart of a therapist wrapped inside the body of a young, goofy, loving pup. And despite whatever his past looked like, Ralphie has blossomed almost overnight in foster care. In just one week, he learned the doggie door, crate training, leash walking, house manners, and how to trust that kindness was finally here to stay. He wants so badly to be a “good boy,” and honestly… he already is. Ralphie currently weighs about 27 pounds and will likely fill out to around 30 pounds as an adult. He is wonderful with dogs, cats, chickens, kids, and every person he meets. No drama. No aggression. No chaos. Just a sweet, grateful dog who wants a family to love with his whole heart. Some dogs are pets. Some dogs are companions. And then once in a while, a dog like Ralphie comes along — a soul dog. The kind you remember forever. If you think you might be the person meant for Ralphie, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us where you live so we can send you an adoption application. Please share. Somewhere out there is the family whose life is about to change because of this boy. ❤️   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 6, 2026, 8:34 pm

Story
Sir Remington, Esquire, SOB (or just Remmy for short) is one of the happiest and most energetic dogs you'll have the pleasure of meeting. Coming in at just under 30 lbs and roughly 9 years old, this dog loves to be out exploring, running, doing anything active. He catches on to new tricks fast and really loves learning new tricks to show off. He already has a wide range of vocal and visual cues learned before I ran out of tricks to teach. His favorite treats are the Three Dog Bakery brand dog cookies and is very food motivated. Due to an unfortunate situation and the need to move, I am having to rehome him. He would do well with someone who lives an active lifestyle, can give him a fenced yard, or can spend time at a dog park. He's never been around kids or other dogs but he has lived with a cat most of his life that he got along with.

Story
When we tell the story of  Mika, we have chosen to leave out the harsh details of the neglect and dirty conditions that she lived in.  Suffice to say it was disturbing to view. She was rescued alongside her sister, Millicent  who endured the same harsh living conditions. Despite a history of being mistreated and neglected, Mika the 18 month old, 52 pound  Aussie/Hound mix girl has a heart of gold and has shown zero resentment. She has spent the last few weeks learning what it means to be safe, clean, and cared for, and she has taken to her new life with total grace. Personality: Calm, affectionate, and steady. Mika is the definition of a sweetheart. She has a gentle, low-key temperament that makes her a perfect fit for a family looking for a more relaxed companion. She is fantastic with kids and simply wants to be where the love is. While she hasn't quite figured out what to do with toys yet, she is incredibly food-motivated, which has made her recent leash training a breeze! Mika is a polite listener who comes when called and is eager to please. She would be a wonderful addition to a home that values cuddles and a steady presence. She is ready to trade her rescue status for a lifetime of treats and affection. Best Skills: Calm demeanor, highly food-motivated (easy to train!), great listener, and kid-friendly. Ideal Home: A loving family that enjoys a peaceful pace and plenty of bonding time. Mika is ready for a new and fresh reset to her life.  She is ready to leave the hard past behind and only look ahead.  She is in Nashville, TN but can be transported to the northeastern states that the transport van visits and stops in.   Critter Cavalry Rescue would love to hear from you at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We stand behind this girl being one of the best dogs you could ever call your very own.     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 6, 2026, 8:34 pm
