Sex: MaleBreed: Australian Cattle Dog x Birth Date: 6/15/2022Found abandoned in a basket with their mother who was leashed. These poor babies had a rough start to their very young lives. Our guess is they were likely abandoned because of the amount of work it takes to care for a litter of unexpected puppies. If only their momma had been spayed life would have been so much simpler. But thankfully this little family was helped by a Good Samaritan and made their way to Kern County Animal services where our foster picked them up once they’d completed a stray hold. The shelter is not a great environment for a mom and puppies and we are so grateful that a foster home stepped up for this crew. We have no idea who daddy is but we’re guessing there may be some German shepherd in their heritage just based on the coloring of some of the puppies. These sweet pups will be adoption ready in approximately 4 weeks so if you’re looking for a medium size dog to add to your family get those applications in! Sorren is a happy, affectionate, and playful young dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Sorren absolutely adores human attention and loves being involved with his people. He does well with other dogs and has also been around cats, making him a great candidate for a multi-pet household with proper introductions. Sorren is a parvo survivor. Unfortunately, as a result of complications from parvo, he developed seizures. He is currently stable on Seizure meds, which he takes twice daily (morning and night). It is extremely important that he does not miss a dose, so his ideal home will be with someone responsible, consistent, and comfortable managing a medical routine. Despite his medical needs, Sorren lives a joyful, active life and does not let his condition slow him down. He would thrive in a home that can provide structure, love, and ongoing veterinary care, and in return he offers unwavering loyalty and affection.
