This sweet boy is stunning and has all the brains and fun you Aussie fans love about the breed. He’s high energy, enthusiastic and gorgeous! Definitely a winning combination. He’s looking for an active family willing to keep him challenged and set boundaries that will ensure he’s appropriately engaged. Have dogs? He loves them too especially other fun loving friends he can pal around with. Neptune may be a familiar face. He was adopted last summer as a younger pup but unfortunately that family wasn’t his perfect fit. There was too much going on in the home and neighborhood and it was a bad environment for this boy. He’s had a chance to decompress at our ranch and is doing great which means it’s time to begin the search for his perfect home. Neptune is very affectionate and eager to please. He really just wants a job like all Aussies do. Do you like K9 sports? Looking for an agility partner? Want to learn a new hobby like dock diving? Story
Eddy is a herding dog enthusiast's delight. He appears to be a mix of Australian Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog, which is known as a 'Texas heeler'. He is bred merle to merle, resulting in deafness. He's a handsome and unique looking boy who is affectionate, loves to sit for cookies. He hails from the Apple Valley shelter, picked up as a stray. He's very affectionate, and he's a pretty gentle boy. He has a unique temperament. Eddie's kind of on his own planet. We find his quirkiness to be really endearing and he's grateful for every minute of attention. He's an unshakably happy and calm boy. Eddie came from the shelter with a rash that turned out to be a nasty staph infection. It spread like wildfire and he lost most of his coat. The infection is finally gone after treating it several times, leaving Eddie with a thin coat. He takes a very inexpensive supplement to help with his coat. Sex: FemaleBreed: Australian Kelpie xEstimated Birth Date: 11/1/2020When Kern County Animal Services reached out regarding Sierra we agreed to meet her but honestly didn’t have high hopes. Sierra was born with an Imperforate Anus. What this means is she did not have an anal opening. Her feces passed through her vaginal area. Most dogs with this condition grow septic when they are puppies and often humane euthanasia is the kindest option. But Sierra somehow beat the odds. Not only has she made it to adulthood but she is thriving! This girl has so much light and life! She is definitely a dog that deserved a 2nd Chance. Sierras surgery was complicated. But that’s where we excel. We’re good at complicated. She came out of her surgery with flying colors and has made a full recovery. Sierra is happy, social and active. She loves people, although she’s a touch shy and timid when 1st getting to know them, and wants nothing more than a bit of love and affection. Well let’s be real she really wants all your love and attention lol. True to her breed she has a good amount of fun energy and would do best in a home with some physical activity. She’d be a great hiking buddy and would love to go on all of your adventures. Sierra is good with other dogs and has been amazing with every dog we’ve paired her with at the ranch. Due to the nature of the anal repairs Sierra needed she is not fully house trained. We’ve got her on a pretty consistent schedule which has helped tremendously with timing her to void outside but she will likely never be completely perfect. If Sierra’s story touches you as much as it’s touched us please apply to give this very deserving girl an amazing home.
