Dobby is living in a foster home with other dogs, house trained and uses pet doors. He loves treats and takes them very gently, which is a big plus for training purposes. He's great on a leash, very relaxed and mild-mannered. He's been mistreated in the past,  yet is very trusting and gentle. A soft place to land would be wonderful for him. His favorite thing is to give you his paw. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please complete an online application at www.cvrr.us Due to high demand  we anticipate multiple applications for each dog. Our volunteers will review each submitted application, then contact the top 3 most appropriate ones by either email or phone. Calling or emailing us to see if you are being considered will not expedite the process. If you have been selected for an interview we will contact you within 48 hours of submission. Thanks for your patience.  Many of our dogs can be seen at Petsmart in Visalia every other  Saturday between 10 and 2. Story
Ollie was received from another owner who couldn’t care for him as a puppy. Me and my fiancée had just bought a new home and it had felt empty so we decided to adopt him . Unfortunately, we made the decision to adopt him with a busy schedule due to work yet we decided that we would try to arrange our schedule at an attempt to care for Ollie. Ollie has completed a puppy training class , he is super easy to train and very smart . Ollie is great with people , he is always excited and energetic even if he meets someone new . Ollie is great with kids , kids are his favorite due to the unlimited pets and cuddles he gets from them . Unfortunately, after 3 months of trying to find time to care for Ollie , it is with a very heavy heart that we realize he is not thriving and being withheld from love and care that we can not provide. We are asking Ollie go to a home with lots of space to run and other friends for him to play with .

Story
Shylow came to us in September as a stray - completely emaciated, dehydrated, and terrified of people. We weren't planning to take in a dog, but we couldn't just leave him like that.Over the past year we got him healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We invested in professional training and put in a lot of daily work with him. He's made a complete transformation. He's around 2 years old, blue merle Australian Shepherd with striking blue eyes. He's fully deaf, but he knows his basic hand signals and responds well to them. He loves other dogs he's been properly introduced to, has that classic Aussie herding energy (he will try to herd you), and he's just a sweet, loyal dog who wants to be around people. He's been doing great with regular walks and doesn't need much more than that - he's not high maintenance, he just wants to be loved and included. He's been living in an outdoor kennel and he deserves a real home. We're happy to have you come meet him, or to bring him to you.

Story
Hello, I’m Hogan! 🐕💙 I’m a handsome 8-year-old, 81-pound Australian Shepherd/Husky mix with a striking brown and white coat and plenty of love left to give. My breed is our best guess based on looks, so we can’t know for sure what wonderful mix I really am! I’m neutered, leash trained, and I even know how to sit. 🎓🐾 I’m an affectionate, energetic guy who would love a person to share walks, hikes, outdoor adventures, and plenty of quality time with. 🥾🌲❤️ I was very loved by my previous family, and they had so many wonderful things to say about me. 🥹💕 In fact, they felt I was perfect in every way except for one thing: children make me very nervous. I’m unsure and uncomfortable around kids, so I’m looking for an adult home without children where I can feel safe, relaxed, and understood. I’d also do best in a home without cats. And here’s a pretty great bonus: in my previous home, I had a doggie door and had it mastered! 🚪🐾 When I needed to do my business, I knew to head right outside. What a smart boy! ⭐ Of course, I may need a little time to learn the routine in a brand-new home, but I already have some great experience under my belt. At 8 years old, I’m past all that puppy nonsense, but don’t mistake that for being ready for the rocking chair! 😂 I still have energy for adventures and would be thrilled to have a favorite human who enjoys getting out and exploring. Then, when the adventure is over, we can enjoy the best part — being together. 🐾❤️ If you have a quieter, kid-free home and you’ve been looking for a big, handsome adventure buddy with some life experience under his belt, come meet me. I’m Hogan, and I’m ready for my next chapter. 🥾🐕🌲💕
