Story
Meet George! This sweet, shy 10 month-old and 43 lb mix may be a little shy at first, but his gentle and loving personality quickly shines through. We are unsure of his mixture, maybe some Australian Shepherd and Pit Bull Terrier or Lab. George loves cuddling with his person, playing with toys, and—true to his water-dog spirit—having fun in the water!  He is looking for someone who will give him the patience, love, and encouragement he needs to build confidence and blossom into the wonderful companion he is meant to be. With a little patience and lots of love, George is sure to become a wonderful companion. Could he be your new best friend? George is being fostered in Hollister.October 4, 2026, 11:29 am

Story
Hello, this sweet girl was abandoned by a breeder due to her eyes. She will be spayed/vaxxed/chipped 10/14. She is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, great with kids/dogs/cats (even though she does come off a bit strong with her curiosity). She is not food/toy aggressive at all. She doesn’t mind her paws touched, but she is not a fan of filing her nails😅 She is going to be groomed 8/7/26 and I did give her flea treatment. She is indoor/outdoor, and as long as she gets her daily walks, she is pretty mellow for her breed. She is a great protector and will follow you from room to room. She isn’t destructive, but make sure to have a chew toy ready. She is the sweetest soul and is the perfect family dog! I wish I could keep her, but my cats are just refusing to warm up and money is a bit tight right now for me to give her the care she needs! I only took over caring for her due to previous rescuer being threatened eviction. Thank you for taking the time to read.❤️

Story
Hello, I’m Hogan! 🐕💙 I’m a handsome 8-year-old, 81-pound Australian Shepherd/Husky mix with a striking brown and white coat and plenty of love left to give. My breed is our best guess based on looks, so we can’t know for sure what wonderful mix I really am! I’m neutered, leash trained, and I even know how to sit. 🎓🐾 I’m an affectionate, energetic guy who would love a person to share walks, hikes, outdoor adventures, and plenty of quality time with. 🥾🌲❤️ I was very loved by my previous family, and they had so many wonderful things to say about me. 🥹💕 In fact, they felt I was perfect in every way except for one thing: children make me very nervous. I’m unsure and uncomfortable around kids, so I’m looking for an adult home without children where I can feel safe, relaxed, and understood. I’d also do best in a home without cats. And here’s a pretty great bonus: in my previous home, I had a doggie door and had it mastered! 🚪🐾 When I needed to do my business, I knew to head right outside. What a smart boy! ⭐ Of course, I may need a little time to learn the routine in a brand-new home, but I already have some great experience under my belt. At 8 years old, I’m past all that puppy nonsense, but don’t mistake that for being ready for the rocking chair! 😂 I still have energy for adventures and would be thrilled to have a favorite human who enjoys getting out and exploring. Then, when the adventure is over, we can enjoy the best part — being together. 🐾❤️ If you have a quieter, kid-free home and you’ve been looking for a big, handsome adventure buddy with some life experience under his belt, come meet me. I’m Hogan, and I’m ready for my next chapter. 🥾🐕🌲💕

He is crate trained and has learned commands like: sit, stay, break (for eating), down and off. Our household routine is such that my wife and I spend a lot fo time at work and Milo is often left home alone. He has done okay with this but we believe it would be better if he were in a home with owners who could spend time with him. Mili loves to be cuddled and to have someone to play catch with. He can be a bit shy at first but once he is comfortable he is a warm addition to any home.Thank you for considering adoption and helping a pet find a loving new home!

Meet Your Potential New Best Friend! This pet is participating in the Central California SPCA Rehoming Program and is currently living with its owner not at the Central California SPCA.If you think this pet could be a great fit for your family, please review the pet`s profile carefully and contact the owner directly to ask questions or arrange a meet-and-greet.Owner Contact InformationPhone: 559-776-5618Email: shauna.mills87@gmail.comOwner Information about the pet : We took this sweet boy back from a family we had homed him with previously. They recently had a baby, and unfortunately, he and their other dog weren’t getting along the way they had hoped. With all the changes and stress that comes with a new baby, they made the difficult decision to give him back so we could find him a better fit.Since we’ve had him back, he somewhat gets along with my daughter’s dog, but honestly, I feel like he would really thrive as an only dog. He loves his people, loves his toys, and especially loves his ball. ?? He is very sweet with people and would do best with an older child or kids who understand how to treat animals and give them space when needed. He has some manners and basic training, but he could definitely benefit from someone who has the time and patience to continue working with him. He’s a good boy and has so much love to give. I think with the right person and a little consistency, he could really thrive.Unfortunately, I’ve had some unexpected and unfortunate things happen in my own life, and I’m no longer able to give him the time and attention he deserves. I’ve found that he’s spending more time in his crate than I’m comfortable with, and I hate knowing that I’m not able to give him the life he deserves right now. This is not an easy decision for me, but I know finding him the right home is the best thing I can do for him.I’m really hoping to find someone who will love him, be patient with him, play ball with him, and give him the time and attention he needs. I just want him to have a happy home where he can truly be part of the family. This picture was taken earlier this yearAnd for the last question, no he has not bitten anyone.Thank you for considering adoption and helping a pet find a loving new home!
