Story
Meet Pip & Domino – Double the Puppy Fun! 🐾 Pip and Domino are two adorable 12-week-old Australian Shepherd mix puppies who are ready to find their forever homes. Currently weighing around 10–12 pounds, these pups won’t stay little for long—they’re growing fast and will blossom into active, intelligent companions. Their breed mix (Australian Shepherd with Husky) means they’re likely to thrive in social, engaging environments. Pip and Domino are friendly, outgoing puppies who would make wonderful additions to families with children and are expected to do well in homes with other dogs or even cats when properly introduced. These pups will benefit from continued socialization, training, and regular exercise to help them grow into well-rounded adult dogs. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate puppy to join your family, Pip or Domino could be the perfect match. Pip and Domino are available for adoption at Butte Humane Society. Come meet them and fall in love! 💙🐶 All dogs that are adopted from Butte Humane Society come microchipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, placed on preventions for heartworm, and flea and tick-borne illnesses. Story
Miss Freya is a truly special soul. She is fully or mostly blind and is likely hard of hearing or deaf, and because of this she will need a patient, loving adopter who understands her unique needs.A bit about Freya:Freya is a sweet, silly puppy who truly shines once she feels safe with someone. She is energetic and playful, confidently moving around a room and adapting remarkably well to new environments despite her lack of vision. She is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. Freya is about 7 months old and currently weighs 28 pounds. She is still growing and is expected to be a medium sized dog. What Freya needs:Our veterinarian recommends that Freya be placed in a home with either no other dogs or one calm, well matched dog. She enjoys the company of other dogs and often feels more secure when another dog is present, but because she cannot read social cues, interactions can sometimes be confusing for her or for other dogs. An easygoing canine companion who can help guide her would be ideal.Freya is young, bright, and full of potential. She does show some separation anxiety and should not be left alone for long periods. She is currently in a foster home with our Kennels Manager, where she is working on crate training and building skills to help her succeed in a forever home.We are honored to help Freya find a family who will celebrate her, cherish her, and give her the safe, loving life she deserves.Weight: 28 poundsAge: 7 monthsOther Dogs: Yes - likely requiring a mellow friend who is gentle and can be patient of her inability to read social cues. Cats: Enjoys cats- has a tendency to follow them around Kids: Presumed to do well.Home Type: active- semi active homeCommands: learning `sit`, working on crate training - slept well in crate overnight recently. Leash Behavior: Walks nicely and responds well to cues from people and other dogs while walking, Great in carsIf you are interested in adopting Freya please fill out our online application at highsierraanimalrescue.org. Once your application has been reviewed and approved we will work with you to schedule an appointment. Please no `drop-ins` to view dogs without an appointment. All High Sierra Animal Rescue dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate shots, micro-chipped, tested for heart worm, given heart worm preventative medication each month, and de-wormed.
