Story
This 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix (about 30 lbs) has been through more than most. When he arrived, he was in tremendous pain from polyarthritis and couldn’t walk. He was also living with the effects of untreated hypothyroidism. Today, he’s made incredible progress—taking short 4–5 minute walks and showing us his resilient, determined spirit every day. He will, however, likely need treatment for both conditions and be on a diet for the rest of his life. Rascal needed a shave and now rocks his adorable “lion cut.” While his coat may not fully grow back, his personality more than makes up for it. He’s sweet, affectionate, and will happily let you know when he’s ready for attention. He’ll need a dedicated adopter who can help lift and carry him (30 lbs) regularly when needed and continue supporting his mobility journey. He is not house trained overnight although keeps a clean space during the day if taken out to putty every few hours Rascal is looking for a compassionate home that sees his challenges—but falls in love with his heart.

Story
Starburst is a sweet, curious Kelpie mix who is ready to explore the world. Arriving at the shelter at just 2 months, and now 7 months, being the last one left of his litter. Starburst has shown he is resilient and ready to start his life-outside of the shelter. He loves playtime and is always eager to learn. He would thrive in an active home that enjoys training, outdoor time, and plenty of play. Recently, Starburst has shown us that some things in the world can be a bit intimidating, such as learning what cars are and learning how to interact with new people. Starburst would appreciate having someone help guide him into his confidence and show him there is a big world out there ready to have Starburst join in. With some structure, love and grace, Starburst can be the best companion he has shown to be here. If you’re looking for a fun sidekick who’s always up for the next adventure, Starburst is your guy.

Story
Baloo is a delightful, energetic 9 year old dog. My wife and I have owned him since he was 1. He loves playing fetch more than anything. He is good with kids and adults alike. He is responsive off leash. Loves the car. He is easy going and would happily crawl into your lap to be pet all day. We are sad to be trying to rehome him as he has been a part of our family for 8 years but we have grown and our space has shrunk and we just cant give him the activity and space to roam that he needs. We just had our second kid and we are spread too thinly, but he has been great with our children and and is highly tolerant of the hair pulling and poking that comes along with young children. He gets along with other dogs no problem. He would do best with an active family that can get him the daily activity he needs.
