Sweet, petite, little Mika is ready for her forever home!! Mika joined MHCR about a month ago from a small shelter in New Mexico. She was missing a paw on her hind limb. Once she arrived, Mika’s foster mom immediately noticed that her leg was causing her some trouble as she was sometimes able to use it and other times not. A visit to CSU confirmed Mika was better off without it. After surgery, our suspicions were confirmed as we saw Mika blossom without the weight of her bum leg. This darling girl that’s around 35 lbs is extremely dog friendly and really benefits from having other dogs in the home. She’s shy when she meets new people and takes a few days to warm up. Once she does, she’s yours forever! Mika is affectionate, cuddly, AND house/crate trained. She’s an absolute joy to have around and will be the absolute light of any multi-dog household’s life!

Beautiful and oh sooo sweet! Oakley just wrapped up mommy duty and is seeking a forever home of her very own. We are estimating her age at around 1 to 2 years. Oakley acts like a big puppy herself. She loves playing with the other dogs in her foster homeand she has specifically requested another canine pal in her forever home. She is so great with dogs, kids and cats and really lights up around kiddos. Some of her favorite activies include swimming (she loves the water), being silly with her doggie brother, giving love to her people and play with toys. Oakley is from the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana so she is a registered AKC Mutt - the very best breed!  She has very soft, medium length coat and we think she is mostly Australian Cattle dog. Oakley has never had an accident in her foster home and is very well behaved.  Oakley does like chewing on things so she will need to be provided with something she is allowed to chew on or she will find something herself. If you tell her "no" she does listen but gives quite the attitude with her side eye. Oakley will stick by your side. She doesn't seem to have much of a prey drive. Overall you couldn't ask for a more perfect pup.
