Story
Knox is an 11 week old Minature Australian Shepherd. I purchased him at 4 weeks old from a breeder in Oklahoma and at 9 weeks he came to live with us. He is a technically a blue merl but colors black, white and tan/ brown. He has one solid brown eye and his left eye is mostly brown but actually does have some blue in it as both mom and dad have blue eyes. He currently is about 10 pounds but should be no more than 25 when full grown. We have been working diligently on potty training which he is getting but with being so young does need some work. He knows sit very well as well as his name and fetch. We are still working on, give, stay, here and down. We are looking for a living and patient home where he can get a lot of attention. He is a very active dog so a home that's active and on the move is ideal. He's silly, sassy and so loving.

Story
Madison is a beautiful blue merle Australian Shepherd with a gentle soul who’s learning to see the world with a little more confidence each day. She can be a bit shy and unsure at first, but with patience and encouragement, her sweet personality really begins to shine. Madison will need a home with a confident, well-adjusted dog already in place to help guide her and show her that the world isn’t so scary. Having a steady canine companion gives her the reassurance she needs to continue building confidence and feel secure. She’s also currently on a weight-loss journey, so her future family will need to be committed to helping her stay on track with a healthy diet and regular exercise. With consistency and care, she’ll be feeling her best in no time! Madison is looking for a calm, patient home that will allow her to blossom at her own pace. In return, she’ll form a deep bond and become a loyal, loving companion. If you have a kind heart, a confident pup, and the dedication to help her grow, Madison could be the perfect addition to your family. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Hi, my name is Lacey! I am a sweet, but shy pup who is looking for my new home. I am fearful of other dogs so I will need to be your only dog. I, also, need a home without small mammals, as I like to chase them. I have a good history with cats. I like to take naps in the sun and cuddle. I would love the chance to get to know you!

Story
Meet Skittles, a 12-year-old Australian Shepherd weighing 45 pounds, with a gentle heart and a quiet, soulful presence. Skittles is a bit shy and timid, especially when faced with new people or unfamiliar environments, but she has a sweet nature that shines through with time and patience. Skittles is able to walk on leash, though she still benefits from gentle encouragement and reassurance along the way. She will need slow, thoughtful introductions to new environments so she can feel safe and build confidence at her own pace. She’s looking for a calm and patient home that will give her the time and understanding she needs to truly settle in. Skittles may do best in a home with another dog, as a canine companion can help provide comfort and confidence. A meet-and-greet at the shelter will be required to ensure it’s the right fit for everyone. With kindness, patience, and a peaceful environment, Skittles will blossom into a loving and devoted companion. She’s ready to spend her golden years in a home where she feels safe, supported, and cherished. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs.
