Ruby came to me through the humane society after spending her first 2½ years on the streets. She arrived fearful and reactive. After working with a reputable trainer, I decided to foster her long-term and give her the time and space she needed to decompress, learn to trust, and simply be a dog again. With time and love, she has blossomed into a joyful, loyal, wonderful companion who is now ready for her forever home. Ruby is fully house-trained, knows basic commands, walks well on leash, and loves playing with other dogs. She likes hiking, running, exploring, and being included in everyday life. She is a little nervous in new situations. Ruby would be happiest in an active rural or semi-rural home with a secure yard and may enjoy another compatible dog. She has a naturally high prey drive and guarding instinct and is best suited to adults or older children. Ruby deserves to be loved and cherished!
