Meet Ariel, a 4‑month‑old Golden Retriever and Australian Shepherd mix who made her way from Georgia with a heart full of sweetness and a spirit ready for adventure. She’s the smallest of her litter and the only pup with striking black fur — and to make her even more unforgettable, she has two beautiful, different‑colored eyes that give her a magical, one‑of‑a‑kind look.Despite her tiny size, Ariel radiates main‑character energy. She loves to run, play, and explore, and she brings a joyful spark to every moment. While she can be a little nervous around big dogs at first, she warms up quickly and soon joins the chase like she’s one of them.Ariel is currently working on housetraining and basic obedience, and she’s already showing how smart and eager‑to‑learn she is. Thanks to her young age and gentle temperament, she does wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs.Ariel is ready to grow, learn, and become the beloved companion she’s meant to be.Ariel's adoption fee is $300, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption.Please note: All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Each pet also receives a behavioral assessment to help us better understand the type of home they may thrive in. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here, you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed).
