Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Jacksonville, FL *This dog doesn’t belong to ASF and hasn’t been evaluated by ASF.* Meet Coco! She is an 3 year old Miniature American Shepherd and weighs 20 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Coco is fearful of strangers! She hasn’t been tested around children or cats. She doesn’t live with other dogs, but is fearful of dogs outside of the home! She is housebroken and crate-trained. Coco bit someone after they tried giving her a treat. The owners didn’t know how fearful she was and pushed her too hard. The owner is surrendering her because she needs a home without a lot of visitors. She needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Coco, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Coco. Story
2 Australian Shepards, one white/brown male one brown/white female. We have had them for 2 weeks no luck after countless hours on the phone, posting on every site possible. Filed found dog with both Shelters. Lots of leads nothing panned out. They are a VERY BONDED PAIR so I will not seperate them. They are very loving dogs. The white male is very protective of the female. She was friendly sooner, it took him about 15 hrs before he would even let us touch him. Once he trusted us, he's just as friendly as she is. They will both walk on a leash. He tends to pull more. They LOVE car rides. We give them both baths in the tub and they stood perfectly still. I took the female to the vet for an abrasion wound I didn't want to get infected and she did great! They will sit and lay and they love for you to throw things they can run after. They are definitely full of energy but in the house they are no problem. No accidents, no chewing on anything. We have let them spend alot of time inside!

Story
10 months old Shephard/Husky mix. We have had him since he was 6 weeks old. House trained, knows name and basic sit and come commands. Good puppy, very active. He can be stubborn at times but that’s coming from an unskilled dog owner. Loves long walks and playing fetch with toys. We don’t have the time to devote to him. I believe he would be a great family dog for someone with time to devote.

Story
Reno | 2 Years | Mixed Breed Howdy, my name is Reno! I arrived at K9s For Warriors April, after passing my initial test with flying colors. I know I might look like I’m ready to run a marathon, but truth be told — I’m more into marathons of the Netflix variety. Sure, I love a good round of fetch and the occasional burst of zoomies, but after that? Belly rubs, please. I’m a laidback guy who prefers the quiet life. I like to keep my circle small — it takes me a little time to trust new people (especially men), but once I know you’re safe, I’m all in. Cuddles, kisses, and loyalty for life. I’ve made a few friends here at K9s — both dogs and humans — and I’m still working on expanding my friend group. I’m also still learning some of my basic commands, but I’m eager to keep training with someone who’s patient and kind. If you’re looking for a low-key buddy with a big heart (and the best cuddle game in town), I might just be your guy. If you are considering adopting Reno, we highly encourage you to reach out to set up a formal meet and greet. We look forward to hearing from you and hope we can help find your new furever friend!

Story
Evie | 1.5 Years | 50lbs What’s up? I’m Evie—your future partner in playtime, snuggles, and a little bit of mischief. I’ve got big feelings, fast feet, and a flair for the dramatic. I arrived at K9s For Warriors in January of 2025, after passing my initial test with flying colors. I’m a playful, toy-loving girl who’s all about fun, zoomies, and making new friends—on my terms, of course. I get a little frustrated on leash when I can’t say hi to other dogs (I mean, come on, they look so fun!), but once I get the chance to meet them off leash, I’m totally in for playtime! I love people—seriously, I think every lap was made just for me. I’d do best in an active, dog-savvy home that understands my excitement and lets me be the happy, carefree pup I was born to be. I already know some of my commands (pretty smart, right?), and I’d love to keep learning with you! If you are considering adopting Evie, we highly encourage you to reach out to set up a formal meet and greet. We look forward to hearing from you and hope we can help find your new furever friend!

Story
Sir Cody was adopted from the Humane Society about a year ago is currently about two years old. He has the most beautiful eyes that I’ve ever seen. It was like love at first sight for me and my spouse to find him. Cody is one of the most loving and energetic dogs that I have ever met. He loves to be outside, he is a herding dog who loves to be outdoors running. He listens very well and just wants to lay up next to you all day. Cody just wants to be loved and played with. We are looking for someone who will be able to spend lots of time, caring for Cody and being his best friend.
