Pull up a chair, lean in, boy, do I have the gossip on Mabel. She showed up with her entourage at a Foster Pet Outreach event and her foster family spilled the TEA! She tries to hide her age and stay young and maintain her figure by running around the back yard, but her foster mom has seen her birth certificate. Mabel is 7 but tries to pass herself off as 5. I think she pulls it off, don’t you? At 7, she’s heard other mature friends giggle about crossing their legs when they sneeze. Not Mabel. She has a strong bladder and knows where to do her business and it’s not in the house. She can even sleep through the night without potty breaks. She’s not a jealous dog either. She’s confident in herself and doesn’t concern herself when her foster brother interacts with other female dogs. In fact, she’ll join in play. She is a little insecure about her weight, but what girl isn’t? Mabel weighs around 40 pounds. She says it fills out her wrinkles to make her look younger. Mabel is best suited for an adult only home looking for a mid-sized dog that comes with a great attitude. She will be a great companion for any home that doesn’t have toddlers in or visiting the home. Story
Meet Indie, a 3-year-old aussie mix with the cutest ears and smile. Indie enjoys playing with toys and getting yummy treats. She also loves fetch! Indie loves to go on walks with the volunteers and enjoys running in the yard, as well. When we sit down with she just wants to climb into our lap and give kisses while she gets pets!In September of 2023, Indie had surgery to correct an issue with a luxating patella and is fully healed and doing great! She's back to running around and playing like before. She is about 40lbs now and can likely stand to lose some of the weight she had gained while on cage rest.Indie is a herding breed, so as always, we strongly encourage anyone interested in her to research these types of dogs. Indie hasn't shown herself to be a big fan of other dogs during her time with us, so she will need to be an only pet! She promises to provide lots of love and laughter to her forever family!Indie's adoption fee has been fully sponsored by a generous donor!
