Callie is fostered in Kansas City, MO area. Meet Callie! This adorable 5 month old fluffy Australian Shepherd mix is ready to settle into her forever home. She is full of youthful energy and exuberance, but once you have shared all the fun, she will be ready to cuddle on the couch for an afternoon nap. Not to mention, she’s cute as can be with the softest fur and adorable crimped ears. Things to know: She is an excellent patio dog - calm, well behaved, and LOVES meeting new friends (both two and four legged). She has been to many brewery and restaurant patios, and she even attended a Bark at the Park baseball game. Everyone comments how calm she is for a puppy. Bonus is that she rides along well in the car. Callie would love to have siblings, either human or canine. She currently plays all day with two resident Aussies in her foster home. This is a great outlet for her puppy energy. She doesn’t currently live with any children but gravitates toward them anytime they are around. She is doing great with potty training and sleeps accident free through the night in her crate. She is still working on being comfortably crated when left alone. She would definitely prefer to be with her people. She will require continued support and consistency with training. She is very toy, treat, and affection motivated so the options are endless for positive reinforcement. Callie is the true definition of a puppy—busy, curious, and always ready to join you on your next adventure. She is also sweet, affectionate, and eager to please. Her ideal home: Active family familiar with herding breeds Another playful dog would be a major perk Someone ready to continue her training and provide plenty of exercise and social outlets With continued love and positive reinforcement Callie will be an amazing companion and adventure partner! Odie is fostered in Southport, IN If dogs could talk, this little dude has quite a story. We'll save that for another day, but just know that what we were told about him has mostly not been true. Odie is a tiny thing at just 9 lbs and approximately 3 years of age. We were informed he is a toy Australian Shepherd and Pomeranian mix. Whatever he is, he is darn cute! Odie is a bit shy at first, but with a little time and treats, he comes around nicely. Once he knows you, he is a TOTAL cuddle bug and will even sleep curled around his foster mom's head at night. He is good with other dogs of all sizes, however, he can get a little fussy with larger dogs if they steal his toys. (Can you blame him?) Odie LOVES attention, and by attention, he loves being a lap dog soaking up all the attention he can get. He is great in the car and enjoys car rides. He is SUPER happy just being near his people and tossing his toys in the air, playing by himself. He will even engage in a game of chase with the bigger dogs. He would do best with a female adopter, or at least having a female in the home as he tends to bond with them quicker. He also would do best with no children under 10 years of age and we highly recommend a physically fenced yard. Odie is good with crate training and should remain on a consistent schedule for potty training. He is good with grooming, leash walking and has been working on some basic obedience. If you are interested in this tiny fluff, please read his entire bio as he will need a commited adopter to continue the training and consistency his foster has been doing with him. Odie is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization. This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities!
