Freya is being fostered in Salem WI Drum roll please!  Announcing Freya.  Freya is an energetic and loving, approximately 6 years old (DOB is 4/27/2018), 45-pound black tricolor bobbed tail Australian Shepherd girl. Who could resist love and affection from this sweet girl? Freya is more than just loving, she’s also very smart. Her knowledge on basic commands make her a well behaved dog.  Freya likes to be around her people. Freya would spend every hour of the day with her person, if she could, loving on them and being loved on. Though she has been doing great with having alone time and hasn’t shown signs of separation anxiety. Running around and going for runs are some of Freya's favorite activities. With her energy she loves to go on off leash hikes and run with the other dogs. Though Freya is friendly and doesn’t mind being with other dogs, she’s fairly independent and does her own thing. Freya would do best with someone who is active, who goes on long walks, hikes or has a large yard to run around in. Freya has been very friendly to everyone she meets and has appropriately set boundaries for other dogs who come on too strong for her. She has great house manners and can even be left out to free range when you are gone. Freya does not chew anything up or get into anything she shouldn’t. Freya likes to sleep in her crate at night typically with the door open. Freya is fully house broken and crate trained. Some of her best skills are sit, down and come.  Freya is a ready to learn, cuddle and go for a hike. She came to us after her previous owner passed away and family memeber took her and recognized that they were not capable of meeting the needs of a typical dynamic and spirited Australian Shepherd. Affection and exercise will keep this girl very happy. She is the dog for someone with an active lifestyle who sees a pup as a family member to bring along and hang out with. Freya’s loyalty to humans make her a perfect weekend adventure partner. Like camping? She is your girl.  Like traveling?  She is your girl.  Like long walks? Presley is being fostered in Owatonna MN Meet Presley. This sweetheart is a black bi standard Australian Shepherd.  She weighs 48lbs and her date of birth is 7/1/2019 but that is made up.  Presley came into rescue at a wee 6 months old because of a breeder shutdown in southern IL.  She was adopted and is back in rescue because her adoptive mom was diagnosed with something super scary and she struggled caring for her; it had nothing to do with Presley.  She only wanted what was best for her.   Miss Presley is a calm, shy, affectionate pup that loves to be around her person. She is a velcro dog that prefers to have someone around all the time. Presley is timid at first but is quick to warm up to people and other dogs given a little bit of time and of course something yummy to eat. She prefers to be around female people as that is what she was used to growing up. She loves to be outside but gets nervous with new sounds. She would best fit with a calm family, no young kids maybe stay at home adults as an only dog or one other dog. She would love nothing more than to have a human to be a sidekick to. Presley is super affectionate and LOVES to cuddle. Presley is a bit sound sensitive in her foster home and does spook easy with loud sounds so a fenced in yard is a MUST for her.  She would just love a mom to call her own and would be fine with a dad, as long as he takes to the time to get to know her and is patient with her, giving her all the treats she can handle to feel more comfortable. Presley is potty trained, kennel trained and great house manners. She LOVES attention, pets and praise, gets a little jealous of other dogs getting attention around her but loves to play outside with her dog friends in her foster home. BoBo PKA Butch is being fostered in Waukesha WI Bo. BoBo. BoLicious is the best behaved, most laid back and handsome boy you will ever meet!  Formerly he was known as Butch, but that doesn't fit him.  His foster mom decided on something a little more friendly. Bo is a standard male red tri Standard Australian Shepherd weighing 60lbs. He could probably loose 5 lbs and be even happier!  (But don't we all? :P  His date of birth is 7/21/2018.  He will be 6 this year in July.   His foster mom reports, he is the easiest dog she has ever cared for.  Matter of fact, if she didn't have so many of her own pups, he would be staying.  His foster momma runs a horse rescue and a doggie daycare/boarding facility and he loves everyone he has met, 2 legged and 4 legged. Bo knows sit, down, come and many other skills that make him the bestest boy!  Don't like dogs on the furniture? No problem! He has never even tried to get on the furniture. Want a buddy to walk to the mailbox everyday? Someone to sit on the porch and enjoy coffee with in the mornings? Sidekick to take for walk and hikes? Just want to lay around in your jammies and relax on a weekend?  Bo is your guy! He has adjusted in every situation he has been in in his foster home.  He listens to everything his foster mom asks of him.  He didn't really like the vacuum, but she said leave it and he did.  Bo will need someone who understands Aussies, as most Aussies do.  They need good leadership and guidance or else they will lead.  Bo is affectionate and sweet as pie!  BoBo would like a fenced yard and no children under 12 or none at all.
