Mongo is fostered in Omaha, NE. Mongo is a black tri male Australian Shepherd. He is estimated to be about 8-9 months old and weighs just under 40 lbs. Mongo was found as a stray, so not a lot is known about his past. But clearly he has a need for the soft and comfortable things in life. If you are looking for a snuggle buddy this winter, then stop your search now!! Mongo is an expert level cuddler and would love to help you pick out your next throw pillow set. (This boy loves, and I mean LOVES, pillows.) He’s amazing in the car and walks fairly well on a leash, although he is still a puppy and pulls occasionally. Mongo is potty trained and sleeps perfect in a crate all night. (Make sure he has comfort hook up!!) This boy loves toys almost as much as a pillow, but he is very gentle with them. Besides some light chewing, he hasn’t actually destroyed one! While currently living with cats in his foster home, he hasn’t quite figured out what makes them tick. Slow, meaningful intros will be crucial to success in a forever home with a kitty friend. He isn’t mean to them, he just doesn’t understand their cues and gets a little too excited. When it comes to other pups, he says the more the merrier! He loves to play and chase and tug! He currently lives with dogs ranging from 10 lbs to 115 lbs and does well with all sizes. We have seen no evidence of guarding, although he does like to steal toys when playing. Mongo comes with a home requirement of 25 pillows for him to steal. Could this be your buddy?! ##2872562##

Hans came into rescue as a puppy with his siblings. He will be 1 in Nov. His sibling had a DNA test done showing predominately Australian Shepherd/mini-AS with chihuahua and jack russell. He is a sweet athletic boy that craves affection. House, crate and leash trained. Completely vetted and ready for his forever home. He is fostered near Knoxville, TN but transportation to a location near you is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Shiloh is fostered in Ypsilanti, MI This stunning boy is Shiloh. He is a 3.5 year old blue merle australian shepherd with a gorgeous tail. He weighs about 40 lbs. Shiloh was surrendered by a family with young ones and a deployed spouse, making it challenging to provide for him. Shiloh is a playful pup but also loves attentions by humans. He would do fine with a playmate that matches his energy or an active family that is ready for an adventuresome sidekick. He is house trained and crate trained. Shiloh knows numerous commands and is very eager to learn, making training a breeze. Shiloh is also a fantastic snuggler, and is happy to settle down at the end of the day to catch up on your favorite shows. Shiloh does have great recall, but he is in a foster home with a physically fenced yard, so a fence is recommended. We are not sure about cats as he has eyed the neighbors cat a few times and expressed a little too much interest. He would be best with children over age 10. Shiloh was said to have some food allergies, however, we are currently feeding a good quality food WITHOUT chicken and he has done very well on this food. Shiloh also has a shoe fetish. While he is NOT destructive, he does like to carry them around from room to room, showing off his prized possessions. Shiloh also would do best with an adopter who is home more often than not, or could take him to work, possibly work from home more frequently. He is very human focused and prefers the company of his people. Shiloh is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization. Meet the Rodeo Litter. These sweet babies were a surrender from Stanford, IL. Mom is an Australian Shepherd and Dad is a Bird Dog AKA Pointer. Mom and Dad did not come with them. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match.
