Story

Iris is such a sweet and fun Australian Shepherd but due to a small house and the fact that she doesn't do well with our other dogs, she will have a better life in a different home. She is the smartest Aussie I have ever had - and I've had 4 of them! She loves to work, learn tricks, and hike. She is highly food motivated, highly motivated to please. She'll have her energy bursts, but once she gets her daily walk or play in, she wants nothing more than to snuggle up to you. She will be going to a professional trainer in May to help her with her stress levels - she is scared of strangers and is reactive. She does have some resource guarding - more so with dogs, but I would advise a house without young children. The trainers are going to help with the transition from our home to yours - we will be covering the expense of the "Transition Training". Even better, if you want to take her in May, you can take over with her Board and Train and the trainers will walk you through everything.

Meet Maia!She is an Aussie mix from what we were told and is a young adult around a year and a half, 40 lbs., and mother to our Spring pups. She is spayed, utd on vaccines, microchipped and on prevention. Maia is a shy girl at first and when she warms up she is a little sweetie. She places her paw out for attention which is the sweetest thing. She is potty trained, kennel trained,is great with other dogs, chases cats sometimes 🤨, and has been fine around everyone but has not been around kids in her foster home. Short Tail Shelly came to us from a kill shelter in Arkansas where she ended up by no fault of her own. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building.  Her approx. birth date is 02/14/22 and she currently weighs 40# full grown. We are guessing at her breed make up. She does have a short tail. She has been vet. checked, spayed,  micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings includung rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is also heart worm negative. Her adoption donation is $250 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card.
