Story
I'm Ollie, a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd/Husky mix who found myself in this shelter after my previous owner couldn't keep up with my antics. I'm a funny, friendly, and playful fellow, always curious about the world around me. With a knack for escaping and a smart mind, I'm looking for a family who can appreciate my adventurous spirit and keep up with my clever ways.

Story
Unfortunately our lovely Australian Shepherd Izzy has developed genetic epilepsy. The Vet feels it can be controlled and kept to a minimum, or best case stop them. We are in the process of regulating the dosages of her medication, it has been happening about every 4 to 6 weeks. With my wife heart rhythm issues (SVT) and the anxiety it creates not knowing when or if she will have have another seizure, it has really put her health at risk and in the hospital. So very sadly we need to find a loving and caring home that is willing and about the deal with her medication and a possible seizure. We will let all of her belonging go with her, recliner for at a window to look out, create, mattress, toys, frisbee (her favorite thing to do) We picked her out and purchased her at 2 week and she was 3 years old 4/8/24. She loves people, get along well with other dogs, good with kids. If you are interested and we both feel everything is a good fit we can proceed from there.

Story
Buddy! 6 years. 38lbs. Australian shepherd/Border collie mix. Best guess.  Will be available for adoption after Monday.  Buddy has been great with dogs of all sizes. Even my sassy Pomeranian. He tries to initiate play with Charlie and enjoys his company.  He is mostly a coexister and seems cat friendly with his initial cat test.  Buddy has been house broken here on a regular potty schedule. We go out about every two hours. He is crating at night and during the day while I’m away at work and doesn’t mind. He’s quiet and a chill guy. He is slow to warm up but a super sweet and sensitive soul.   Buddy came to us already neutered. He’s been microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm and Lyme tested. He’s negative for everything including parasites.  His adoption fee is $175.Applications are on our website. Www.trackingintheshadows.com **We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved.**   ##1999201##

Story
Iris is such a sweet and fun Australian Shepherd but due to a small house and the fact that she doesn't do well with our other dogs, she will have a better life in a different home. She is the smartest Aussie I have ever had - and I've had 4 of them! She loves to work, learn tricks, and hike. She is highly food motivated, highly motivated to please. She'll have her energy bursts, but once she gets her daily walk or play in, she wants nothing more than to snuggle up to you. She will be going to a professional trainer in May to help her with her stress levels - she is scared of strangers and is reactive. She does have some resource guarding - more so with dogs, but I would advise a house without young children. The trainers are going to help with the transition from our home to yours - we will be covering the expense of the "Transition Training". Even better, if you want to take her in May, you can take over with her Board and Train and the trainers will walk you through everything.

Story
Short Tail Shelly came to us from a kill shelter in Arkansas where she ended up by no fault of her own. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building.  Her approx. birth date is 02/14/22 and she currently weighs 40# full grown. We are guessing at her breed make up. She does have a short tail. She has been vet. checked, spayed,  micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings includung rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is also heart worm negative. Her adoption donation is $250 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with her forever home. ##1665161##

Story
“HI ALL!!! My name is Tina (but I answer to hand signals!) I’m under 4years old as much as I love my friends here I really would LOVE a foster or forever home that can help me along- I have had a hard time training due to being deaf and some people just don’t understand me:( I would require a new parent to be very understanding and knowledgeable regarding hearing impaired pets or willing to work with me. I have been returned a few times due to my mouth getting me into trouble:( But, I know my forever home is out there!!! I’m the best girl ever I promise and I would LOVE a place to call home for now or permanently that has prior experience with a deaf puppy!!!”   ##575157##
