Meet Eric 🐾💙Eric is an 8-month-old Australian Shepherd mix weighing 44 pounds of handsome, happy energy! This sweet boy was owner-released and is now looking for a fresh start with a family ready to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.Eric does well with kids and other dogs, making him a great candidate for an active family. At this time, we’re unsure how he does with cats, and we don’t know if he is house or crate trained. With consistency and positive reinforcement, he has all the potential to learn quickly — he’s still young and eager to please.Eric is incredibly sweet and loves attention. He does have a bit of a jumping problem, especially when he’s excited, but that’s just his enthusiastic way of saying hello! With some basic training and guidance, he’ll learn his manners in no time. Because he’s a young Shepherd mix, he would thrive with an owner who can provide structure, exercise, and continued training.The good news? Eric is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies, neutered, and microchipped. He’s healthy and ready to head home.If you’re looking for a loving, energetic companion who just needs a little polishing to truly shine, Eric is ready to meet you. 💕Eric's Adoption Fee is $67 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.
