Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Madisonville, LA *This is a bonded pair and they will need to be adopted together* Meet Atticus! He is an 6 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 42 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Atticus is good with older children and dogs! No younger children or cats, due to his reactivity! Atticus nipped the owner’s 2 year old daughter after she hit him on the head. The owner is surrendering him because they had tried to teach their daughter to be gentle with the dogs, but she isn’t improving. He needs to go ASAP! Meet Scout (the dog with more white fur)! She is an 5 year old Miniature American Shepherd and weighs 26 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm. Scout is good with older children and dogs! No younger children or cats, due to his reactivity! The owner is surrendering her because she is bonded with Atticus. She needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Atticus and Scout, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $300 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Atticus and Scout. Owner’s Contact Information: Ben bencato93@gmail.com

Story
Gypsy is about 4 years old. She came into My life when an old roommate brought her home as a puppy. he found her in Mississippi and rescued her from owners who were letting the other dogs bully her by not letting her eat. She was probably about 10 lb when he brought her home after about 4 months his life took a different path and gypsy remain with me until present day. She is a very lovable dog when it comes to children especially in humans she does not get along well with other animals but can be acclimated to other animals with some Patience. She enjoys running around outside and chasing animals. She is definitely a hunter and would make a great hunting dog. She would also make a great dog for a young child because she loves children so much. Gypsy is house trained but she's not fixed. She has lived inside my home for the last 4 years and I love her dearly but unfortunately I cannot continue to care for her and would prefer her to live her life naturally instead of euthanizatio

Story
If you thought Thor was just a god of thunder, think again! This adorable pup is the real deal, and he's ready to steal your heart!Thor stands true to his name! He is a big boy in fluff and personality. He is weighing in about 60 lbs as a fully grown husky/Shar-Pei (Aussie?). He came to the shelter with a collar so small it scared his skin. But he has shown himself to be trusting and goofy! He loves walks and has done well in meeting new friends. He is the most luxurious fur and tail. He’ll put his beautiful wrinkly face in your hands, ready for all the love you can give. The first step in our adoption process is an application. Once that is received, we will contact you to make an appointment to meet the animal. Adoption Applications can be completed at www.WFAHS.org
