Story
Bodhi is a deeply loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dog who forms a strong bond with his person. In calm, predictable environments, he is attentive, loving, and happiest simply being near those he trusts. He thrives on routine, structure, and clear communication, and when those needs are met, his devoted nature truly shines. One of his favorite things is playing ball outdoors, where he can run, focus, and just be a dog. Bodhi has worked extensively with professional trainers and has received consistent structure and medical support to help manage anxiety. While he has made progress, he does best in a quieter, low-stimulus home with clear expectations and steady daily life. This decision was made with great care, love, and responsibility. Bodhi is not a “project” dog—he is a good dog who needs the right environment to feel safe and succeed. In the right home, with an experienced and patient owner who values calm leadership, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal companion.

Story
Tink’s story didn’t begin the way any young dog’s should — but we believe her best chapter is still waiting to be written very soon now that she is in the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue.  At just two years old, this striking blue-eyed Australian Shepherd girl has already experienced motherhood and heartbreak. She gave birth to a litter of puppies on Thanksgiving Day, nurturing them with devotion. But by Valentine’s weekend, her own world changed. When her owner suffered a stroke and was hospitalized in ICU, Tink was left confined inside a camper for four long days, alone and unsure. It would be understandable if that experience made her fearful or withdrawn. Instead, Tink emerged gentle, loving, and incredibly devoted to people. Currently weighing 38 pounds (and needing about five more to reach her ideal weight), Tink is a petite Aussie with a soft and gentle temperament and a playful streak. She absolutely adores children and has a naturally sweet, careful way about her. She loves playing fetch, going on walks, and burning off her energy in a securely fenced yard — which is a must for this active, intelligent breed.   Tink is mostly housebroken and simply needs the consistency of a routine. She does well in a crate and walks nicely on leash. We are currently evaluating her with other submissive dogs, as a recent attempt to pair her with a strong alpha female was not a good fit — which is understandable after all she’s been through. She may truly shine as the center of someone’s world. Tink has proven she is resilient. She has proven she is loving. Now she just needs someone who will prove to her that she will never be left behind again. If you feel your home might be the safe and steady future this beautiful girl deserves, please email Critter Cavalry at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us your city and state. Tink is ready to begin again — this time, forever.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Kenny is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to demand attention—he simply earns your heart by being quietly, wonderfully present. This stunning 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, with his rich brown merle coat and soulful eyes, has a calm, steady spirit that feels like home from the moment you meet him. At 50 pounds, he’s the perfect size to be your constant companion—never far, always devoted.   After spending six long months waiting in a small New Mexico shelter, Kenny is more than ready to leave that chapter behind and embrace the love he’s always deserved. Despite a slight vision impairment, he moves through life with confidence and grace, never letting it slow him down. In fact, his resilience only makes him more remarkable.   Kenny is incredibly smart, beautifully mannered on a leash, and fully potty trained. He’s the kind of dog who finds joy in the simplest things—resting quietly at your feet, leaning gently against you, or soaking in every bit of affection you’re willing to give. He’s gentle with everyone he meets, wonderful with other dogs, and has a soft, kind nature that makes him truly special. Offer him a treat and he’ll happily sit… and if you’re lucky, he might even place his paw in your hand like a quiet promise of loyalty.   He would thrive in a peaceful home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy the calm life he’s been waiting for. Kenny isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. Someone to love, to follow, and to quietly adore every single day.   If you’re ready for a deeply loyal, affectionate companion who will bring a sense of peace and devotion into your life, Kenny is waiting for you. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and give this beautiful soul the forever home he’s been dreaming of.   version 2There is something truly special about Kenny—the kind of presence that instantly puts you at ease and makes you feel like you’ve known him forever. This beautiful 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, weighing 50 pounds and dressed in a striking brown merle coat, is the definition of gentle devotion.   Kenny’s past hasn’t been easy. He spent six long months in a small New Mexico shelter, quietly waiting and hoping for someone to see him. But what makes Kenny extraordinary is not where he’s been—it’s the love he still has to give. Despite a slight eyesight impairment, he navigates the world with quiet confidence, never missing a step when it comes to companionship.   He’s incredibly intelligent, fully house-trained, and walks like a dream on a leash. But what truly sets Kenny apart is his heart. His favorite place in the world is right beside you—whether that’s lying at your feet, resting his head nearby, or simply being your shadow. He doesn’t ask for much, just the comfort of knowing he belongs.   Kenny is wonderful with other dogs, kind with people of all ages, and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a perfect fit for a relaxed home. He’ll sit politely for treats and might gently offer you his paw, as if to say, “I’m yours.”   He would love a home with a fenced yard where he can safely enjoy the outdoors, but more than anything, he’s looking for a person to love with his whole heart. Kenny is the kind of dog who will quietly, faithfully, and completely change your life.   If you’re searching for a loyal companion who will bring warmth, peace, and unconditional love into your home, Kenny is ready to meet you. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let this incredible boy become your best friend.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 17, 2026, 9:14 pm

Story
Stella is a friendly and intelligent dog with plenty of energy. We want her to be happy and have a space where she can run around and play with other dogs. Previously, Stella lived in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and had lots of friends to play with. Now, she is living in a townhouse without a yard, which has been challenging for her. As a very active young lady, she is currently feeling unhappy. Stella is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever, and she is expected to weigh around 30 pounds. She is a loving and eager-to-learn dog who picks up new skills quickly. Stella would be an amazing agility dog, as this would engage both her mind and her need for physical activity. If agility training isn't your interest, she would also thrive in an active lifestyle with an avid walker, hiker, or runner.  Stella is a very quick learner and was immediately fully potty trained.     To ensure the best for Stella, her new owners should have a yard or live on a farm, and it would be great if they have another dog and children.  Stella has plenty of energy to add playing at home to her list of activities.    Stella has been spayed and is current on all her shots until May 2026.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Stella is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
From the very beginning, Rooney stood out as something special. Born the week after Thanksgiving as one of eleven puppies, there was just something about this little guy that made everyone pause and smile. With his handsome face and wonderfully wild, fluffy hair, Rooney has a way of bringing laughter and light wherever he goes. He’s the kind of puppy who quietly captures your heart. Rooney is incredibly sweet, charming, and full of that joyful puppy energy that makes every day brighter. He loves to cuddle just as much as he loves to play, and his foster family will tell you that he brings endless smiles with his silly moments and gentle affection. Rooney had a DNA test done and it revealed a wonderful mix of mostly Poodle and Australian Shepherd. The result is a smart, loving pup with a curious mind and a soft, devoted nature. He is already crate trained and mostly housebroken, which is quite impressive for such a young boy.  While Rooney can be a calm and thoughtful little soul at times, he absolutely lights up when he’s around other young dogs. That’s when the zoomies come out and the fun begins. He truly loves company and thrives on being part of the action. Rooney is expected to grow into a perfect medium-sized companion at around 35 pounds one day. He is the kind of dog who will grow alongside his family, sharing adventures, quiet moments, and years of unconditional love. If you are looking for a puppy who will become a once-in-a-lifetime companion, Rooney may be the one you’ve been waiting for. If you are interested in adopting Rooney, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.

Story
Hi, my name is Zara! I am a beautiful gray and white 3-year-old Australian Shepherd Poodle mix. While ladies typically don’t disclose their weight, I am about 50 lbs. If you are a smart and active person or couple looking to adopt a dog with a similar temperament, then we could be a great match! I love going for walks and would appreciate having someone who can incorporate that into my daily routine. Getting outside for exercise is something I enjoy, and I would also make an excellent running companion. Visiting the park or going on hikes would be a lot of fun, too! Not to brag, but I believe I'm quite a looker, and I’m confident that if you took me to the park, we would make lots of friends together. While I love people, I am not used to being around other dogs, so a dog park wouldn’t be suitable for me. However, I’m always up for hanging out where the people are! I’m also a bit too energetic for young children; I sometimes forget that I'm bigger than they are and might accidentally knock them over. It would be wonderful if someone in the household could work from home, as I am crate-trained but don't like spending long hours alone. I thrive on human interaction and am seeking a loving home.  I promise to return your love! If you would like to be considered for my forever family, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. Please note that an approved application and adoption fee are required. (I am currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)    March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm
