We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs. Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds. We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her. The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach. She is the home security dog officer! This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health. Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds. She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard. She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family. Story

Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 35 pounds. She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier. Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home. She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate. She is not leash trained but is trying to improve. We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day. Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her. She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands. Meet Handsome Cooper. This beautiful Australian Shepherd is 8 years old and only 24 lbs. Cooper is a ball of energy and you would never guess that he was more than 3 years old. He is having the time of his life now that he has a huge fenced in yard where he runs and plays. He is not used to all this space as he had no yard before. He only got walked for exercise. Cooper came to Critter Cavalry because his mom could no longer take care of him. This active guy loves people. Cooper would enjoy an active family that will take him on walks and hikes. He is smart too and would love a family that would teach him things. He knows how to walk on a leash and doesn't pull. He is the perfect companion for someone who would like to teach him commands or even agility. Cooper has lived as an only dog and would be fine getting all the attention. A fenced in yard is a must for this guy and when you see how much he enjoys it you will understand. Cooper loves people and just wants to be where you are. He is a very sweet and loving little guy. Meet our handsome 4-5 year old Australian Shepherd boy we call Sebastian. This 60 pound, sweet soul was found as a stray back about the second week of June and he was never claimed by anyone as lost. He was not microchipped, not neutered and just wanting a place to be loved. Critter Cavalry Rescue has stepped up to foster him and find the perfect match for this gorgeous boy. He is heartworm negative and he has been treated for an ear infection and a hot spot that is common during the hot summer months with the long furred dogs. He is good with other dogs, children and we are cat testing him now. He is pretty good on a leash and rides well in the car. He has been several places in the past month and is dealing with feeling a little displaced at times. This boy is clean, soft, handsome and needing a good place to land with someone that understands the breed and who has a fenced yard for him to explore safety and off leash. My name is Caring Carrie and I am a 15 month old Aussie/Lab mix girl that weighs 35 pounds of pure sweetness. My luck has not gone well with getting adopted. I have had two families that adopted me and one had to bring me back because the little girl was allergic and then another family took me home for a few weeks and their grandmother had a stroke and she had to come live with the family and they decided that a puppy would be too much if they were taking care of a special needs senior Grandmother. So, for medical reasons I have lost TWO homes in a short time of my young life. I am housebroken, crate trained and I am very loving and sweet. I am a 45 pound girl and I a love playing soccer with the older kids. I am athletic and smart and I love my family. I am not a dog that enjoys lots of new people arriving in my world. I love my family and friends but I am not a girl that enjoys dog parks nor lots of strange people that I am supposed to meet and greet every day. I am devoted and loving and special. I have a new smile to give you and a tail wag and a devotion that is only for you. I am just not a cheerleader out there vying for the vote of Miss Congeniality with everyone. Friendly Finn is a lucky dog. You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive. He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years. TRUTH! How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter. Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown. He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car. He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding. Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park. We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter.
