Story
Ollie by Golly is the kind of puppy who makes people smile the moment they meet him.   This handsome mostly Australian Shepherd boy has a soft semi-long coat, beautiful eyes, and a gentle personality that is hard to find. Ollie does have limited vision on his left side because his left eye is genetically smaller than his right, but it does not slow him down one bit. His veterinarian says he is comfortable, doing great, and does not need any surgery. Ollie has learned to navigate the world just fine and is full of confidence, curiosity, and puppy joy.   He is a sweet, easygoing little guy who is incredibly gentle with a 3-year-old toddler in his foster home. He also does wonderfully with older children, adults, and people he meets. Ollie has no fearfulness and no rough edges to his personality—just a soft heart and a happy spirit.   When he is not cuddling near his people, Ollie is busy doing important puppy things: chasing bubbles, watching butterflies, sniffing every inch of the yard, playing fetch, wrestling gently with his dog friends, and joining in on the morning zoomies. He may even decide a bullfrog is worth investigating if one happens to cross his path.   Ollie has been in foster care for three weeks and has already blossomed into such a happy, loving boy. His foster mom has been delighted to watch his personality shine brighter every day. He would love a home with children, another playful dog, or simply people who want a loyal little companion close by.   If you are looking for a puppy who is handsome, gentle, playful, and wonderfully special, Ollie by Golly may be your perfect match. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to learn more. Please include your city and state. Ollie is fostered in Tennessee, and adoption is available in Tennessee as well as throughout the Northeastern corridor with weekly transport.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 5, 2026, 3:15 pm

Story
Some names just fit, and Atlas is one of them. Just like the mighty Titan who carried the world, Atlas has a larger-than-life presence that’s impossible to ignore. At only 5 months old (born 1/11/26) and already 38 pounds, this handsome boy is destined to grow into a stunning, powerful companion—likely reaching 75 pounds or more as an adult.  Atlas inherited his gorgeous looks from his purebred Australian Shepherd mom, and we suspect his dad was a Husky or Malamute, giving him his striking appearance, sturdy build, and those adorably oversized paws. Everywhere he goes, people stop to admire him. But Atlas isn’t just a handsome face—he has an equally wonderful personality. He’s a happy, playful puppy who loves every dog he meets, regardless of size or age. He’s also great with cats and absolutely adores children, making him an excellent candidate for an active family looking for a loyal best friend. Like any growing puppy, Atlas has a big appetite, an even bigger zest for life, and an eagerness to learn. He loves treats, making training both fun and rewarding, and his foster family says he’s always eager to please. With continued guidance, he’ll grow into an incredible lifelong companion. Because Atlas will be a large, energetic dog, we’re looking for a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely run, play, and stretch those long legs. Atlas is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and ready for his forever family. All that’s missing is someone to love him as much as he’ll love them in return. Could that be you? Atlas is waiting in Tennessee, packed and ready to hop aboard the transport van heading north to meet the family he’s been dreaming of. If you’d like to give this extraordinary boy the home he deserves, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at  ccrnewengland@gmail.com for more information. Big dog. Big heart. Big future. Atlas is ready to make your world complete.

Story
After a rough start to life, these Aussie mix puppies are thriving in their foster home. They were dumped in rural Mississippi and found by a caring FedEx driver as they huddled on a trash pile on the side of the road. Now they have learned to trust people and love to play and snuggle. They will be ready for forever homes after 3/6. They are located in Memphis, but can be transported to the Midwest, Colorado and the Northeast for an additional fee.

Story
Bodhi is a deeply loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dog who forms a strong bond with his person. In calm, predictable environments, he is attentive, loving, and happiest simply being near those he trusts. He thrives on routine, structure, and clear communication, and when those needs are met, his devoted nature truly shines. One of his favorite things is playing ball outdoors, where he can run, focus, and just be a dog. Bodhi has worked extensively with professional trainers and has received consistent structure and medical support to help manage anxiety. While he has made progress, he does best in a quieter, low-stimulus home with clear expectations and steady daily life. This decision was made with great care, love, and responsibility. Bodhi is not a “project” dog—he is a good dog who needs the right environment to feel safe and succeed. In the right home, with an experienced and patient owner who values calm leadership, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal companion.

Story
Loyal and loving companionMeet Piper – Sweet, Smart & Ready for Her Forever Home Piper is a loving, 5-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing 50 pounds, and she's looking for her forever family. Rescued after being abandoned at a dog park in poor condition, Piper has come a long way—blossoming into a loyal, affectionate, and incredibly smart companion. Piper has completed basic obedience training and we are now working on leash training. She knows all the essentials: sit, stay, lay down, leave it, and she has excellent recall. She's also fully potty trained and patiently sits while you place her food bowl down waits for a release command before eating—what a good girl! While Piper can be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly to new people in a home setting. Piper is a mix bread girl but with a personality of an Australian Shepherd or Cattle Dog smart, loyal, and full of heart. Piper would do best in a home without cats, she has done well with older kids. If you're looking for a devoted adventure buddy and a snuggle partner who will reward your patience with endless affection, Piper is your girl.  Check out Piper's videos: https://youtu.be/bcT5b2m90ek https://youtu.be/GwoQpSCIRSI For more videos and photos for Piper check out her social media on TikTok, YouTube and instagram @PawsNthegarden Age: 5 years old     Weight: 50 lbs   Temperament: Good with dogs and kids.   Training: Crate-trained, house trained, knows commands Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative For questions about Piper, please email: morgan7728@gmail.com  â€‹ To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself.   July 6, 2026, 12:02 pm
