Story
Some names just fit, and Atlas is one of them. Just like the mighty Titan who carried the world, Atlas has a larger-than-life presence that’s impossible to ignore. At only 5 months old (born 1/11/26) and already 38 pounds, this handsome boy is destined to grow into a stunning, powerful companion—likely reaching 75 pounds or more as an adult.  Atlas inherited his gorgeous looks from his purebred Australian Shepherd mom, and we suspect his dad was a Husky or Malamute, giving him his striking appearance, sturdy build, and those adorably oversized paws. Everywhere he goes, people stop to admire him. But Atlas isn’t just a handsome face—he has an equally wonderful personality. He’s a happy, playful puppy who loves every dog he meets, regardless of size or age. He’s also great with cats and absolutely adores children, making him an excellent candidate for an active family looking for a loyal best friend. Like any growing puppy, Atlas has a big appetite, an even bigger zest for life, and an eagerness to learn. He loves treats, making training both fun and rewarding, and his foster family says he’s always eager to please. With continued guidance, he’ll grow into an incredible lifelong companion. Because Atlas will be a large, energetic dog, we’re looking for a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely run, play, and stretch those long legs. Atlas is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and ready for his forever family. All that’s missing is someone to love him as much as he’ll love them in return. Could that be you? Atlas is waiting in Tennessee, packed and ready to hop aboard the transport van heading north to meet the family he’s been dreaming of. If you’d like to give this extraordinary boy the home he deserves, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at  ccrnewengland@gmail.com for more information. Big dog. Big heart. Big future. Atlas is ready to make your world complete.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 25, 2026, 7:47 pm

Story
Beckett is a very handsome mini Australian Shepherd mix. He weighs about 35 lbs. This distinguished boy is a young 10-year-old. Beckett was saved from the streets of Nashville. He was abandoned and alone. Thanks to a caring lady who could not bear the thought of him spending any more time outside, Beckett is now in a loving foster home. He is under the care of Critter Cavalry.   It did not take long for this awesome gentleman to make himself at home. After meeting the resident dogs, he explored outside. He came in and found a spot to relax. He is getting along great with his new foster brothers and sisters. He is also good with cats. This super smart boy quickly learned to use the doggie door. He can now come and go as he pleases. He does prefer to be inside and likes to know where his foster mom is. Beckett is enjoying all the love and attention he is getting.   It takes him a few minutes, but he quickly warms up to new people. He just has to make sure that you are nice. Beckett is housebroken. He walks well on a leash. He also does not mind the crate and will go right in for a treat. He currently sleeps in his crate, but we think he would love to cuddle up right next to you.   If you are interested in adopting Beckett, please email Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311 to request an application. The adoption process requires submitting an application, having it approved, and paying an adoption fee. Beckett is neutered, up to date on all shots, microchipped, and currently in Tennessee. He can be transported north upon adoption.June 25, 2026, 7:47 pm

Story
Meet Milo Milo is a handsome Australian Shepherd mix who is about 8 months old and weighs 32 pounds. Behind those beautiful eyes is a story of survival, kindness, and a second chance. Sometimes it feels like special dogs find exactly the right people when they need them most. Milo and his sister, Millie, were abandoned and left to fend for themselves along a local Greenway. Thankfully, fate stepped in when his foster mom, Kayla, crossed paths with Millie and learned there was another frightened puppy hiding nearby. For three days, Milo stayed just out of reach, taking shelter in a drainage ditch and avoiding people. When he was finally caught and brought to safety, he was covered in fleas and ticks and understandably scared of the world around him. Today, Milo is discovering what it means to be loved. While he can still be timid around loud noises and unfamiliar situations, he warms up quickly and simply wants to be close to his people. Every day his confidence grows a little more as he learns that he is finally safe. He is wonderful with young children, gets along well with cats, and does great with other dogs. Like most puppies his age, Milo enjoys chewing, so he happily keeps himself entertained with his favorite chew toys. He is also making great progress with potty training and learning all the skills he needs to become an amazing family companion.  Because of his gentle and affectionate personality, Milo would thrive in a home with another friendly dog and a family that can give him plenty of companionship. He doesn’t enjoy being alone for long periods and would do best with someone who is home often or has a flexible schedule. He prefers to eat his meals separately from other dogs, but otherwise enjoys canine company and seems happiest when he has a furry friend nearby. Milo has overcome so much in his young life, and now all he needs is a family to show him that he will never be abandoned again. If you would like to give this deserving boy the forever home he has been waiting for, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Milo is ready to leave his days of uncertainty behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family of his very own.
