Story
Meet Lula - Loving 2-Year-Old Seeking Active Family. Lula is an energetic, affectionate dog adopted as a puppy (turning 2 in October 2026). She thrives with kids and is great with cats, though her herding instincts sometimes cause playful nibbling during active play. Engaging, playful, and loving. Territorial with strangers/other dogs initially but warms up quickly once introduced. Pulls on leash occasionally, especially when excited to greet other dogs. Recently fractured her right femur and underwent successful surgery with an implant. Currently recovering well with minimal limping/pain. Follow-up X-rays scheduled May 22nd and potentially 4 weeks later. On sedation medication temporarily to limit activity during healing. We've realized our busy schedules don't meet her energy and engagement needs. She's home alone frequently, leading to boredom and destructive chewing (not crated). After complete medical recovery and clearance (estimated late June/July 2026). Serious inquiries only

Story
Kenny is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to demand attention—he simply earns your heart by being quietly, wonderfully present. This stunning 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, with his rich brown merle coat and soulful eyes, has a calm, steady spirit that feels like home from the moment you meet him. At 50 pounds, he’s the perfect size to be your constant companion—never far, always devoted. After spending six long months waiting in a small New Mexico shelter, Kenny is more than ready to leave that chapter behind and embrace the love he’s always deserved. Despite a slight vision impairment, he moves through life with confidence and grace, never letting it slow him down. In fact, his resilience only makes him more remarkable.  Kenny is incredibly smart, beautifully mannered on a leash, and fully potty trained. He’s the kind of dog who finds joy in the simplest things—resting quietly at your feet, leaning gently against you, or soaking in every bit of affection you’re willing to give. He’s gentle with everyone he meets, wonderful with other dogs, and has a soft, kind nature that makes him truly special. Offer him a treat and he’ll happily sit… and if you’re lucky, he might even place his paw in your hand like a quiet promise of loyalty.  He would thrive in a peaceful home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy the calm life he’s been waiting for. Kenny isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. Someone to love, to follow, and to quietly adore every single day.If you’re ready for a deeply loyal, affectionate companion who will bring a sense of peace and devotion into your life, Kenny is waiting for you. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and give this beautiful soul the forever home he’s been dreaming of.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  May 13, 2026, 12:25 am

Story
From his foster: I am so impressed with this puppy. He redirects beautifully when needed which isn’t often. He slept until 7:30 this morning. He gets up and we go outside and he pees in literally 5 seconds and poops. My other cat was willing to meet him last night and he laid right down to let her come to him and he gently smelled her and is such a gentlemen! He’s sleeping in a crate and last night he didn’t cry once. I am so impressed that a dog his age is doing so well! Have you seen a cuter face? Waylon is a 17-week-old mix. Some say Aussie as his coat is fluffier than it looks. He is in foster in the south and doing great. Good with dogs and cats and loving people this boy will brighten any home. Adoption fee is $475 If you have not heard from us within 7 days please email passion4petsrescue@gmail.com

Story
After a rough start to life, these Aussie mix puppies are thriving in their foster home. They were dumped in rural Mississippi and found by a caring FedEx driver as they huddled on a trash pile on the side of the road. Now they have learned to trust people and love to play and snuggle. They will be ready for forever homes after 3/6. They are located in Memphis, but can be transported to the Midwest, Colorado and the Northeast for an additional fee.

Story
Bodhi is a deeply loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dog who forms a strong bond with his person. In calm, predictable environments, he is attentive, loving, and happiest simply being near those he trusts. He thrives on routine, structure, and clear communication, and when those needs are met, his devoted nature truly shines. One of his favorite things is playing ball outdoors, where he can run, focus, and just be a dog. Bodhi has worked extensively with professional trainers and has received consistent structure and medical support to help manage anxiety. While he has made progress, he does best in a quieter, low-stimulus home with clear expectations and steady daily life. This decision was made with great care, love, and responsibility. Bodhi is not a “project” dog—he is a good dog who needs the right environment to feel safe and succeed. In the right home, with an experienced and patient owner who values calm leadership, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal companion.

Story
Stella is a friendly and intelligent dog with plenty of energy. We want her to be happy and have a space where she can run around and play with other dogs. Previously, Stella lived in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and had lots of friends to play with. Now, she is living in a townhouse without a yard, which has been challenging for her. As a very active young lady, she is currently feeling unhappy. Stella is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever, and she is expected to weigh around 30 pounds. She is a loving and eager-to-learn dog who picks up new skills quickly. Stella would be an amazing agility dog, as this would engage both her mind and her need for physical activity. If agility training isn't your interest, she would also thrive in an active lifestyle with an avid walker, hiker, or runner.  Stella is a very quick learner and was immediately fully potty trained.     To ensure the best for Stella, her new owners should have a yard or live on a farm, and it would be great if they have another dog and children.  Stella has plenty of energy to add playing at home to her list of activities.    Stella has been spayed and is current on all her shots until May 2026.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Stella is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm
