Scout is looking for a new home where he can get the TLC he deserves! He knows a lot of tricks and enjoys showing off what he's learned over the years. He may take a minute to warm up but he loves attention and giving kisses! Since he's getting older, he prefers a more chill lifestyle like lounging on the couch for naps but still has a lot of energy when it comes to doing his favorite things. Scout and his sister, Smores, have spent 10 years together and they'd love to find someone who can give them the chance to live out their golden years. They may be older, but they still have so much love and companionship left to give!

Captain – 9-Year-Old Australian Shepherd/Lab MixCaptain is a 9-year-old Australian Shepherd/Lab mix who has been with our family his entire life. He is neutered, healthy, house-trained, and trained on an invisible fence. He knows sit, lay down, and wait. He is 61 lbs and approximately 2 feet tall at the head.Captain is extremely loyal and loves playing fetch with a tennis ball. He is happiest at home with his people and would do best in a quiet home with a secure yard.Captain needs to be the only pet. He has a history of aggression toward other dogs and does not do well around other animals. We do not recommend cats. He is not ideal for small children but could do well with mature, older children who respect his space. He has no bite history toward people, but has a strong prey drive and will chase and kill small animals.His rabies vaccination is currently due and will be updated before placement. We are moving abroad and want to find Captain a loving, appropriate home.

He’s about 80lbs maybe more Almost 3 years old Loves to run and chase rabbits, birds, really anything Loves to play tug a war Can become very anxious, doesn’t like to move place to place Loves to cuddle and give kisses Kennel trained Understands a “shock” collar but not a leash. Could be walked on a leash, just likes to lead I believe he just needs land to run. He has a very playful personality but is emotional. He is truly my bestfriend and I’m sad to have to give him to someone else. I know he deserves so much more than what he has though.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.If interested in adopting, read about our Adoption Process and complete an Adoption Application on the Mo-Kan website.  A Mo-Kan application must be filled out to begin the process.(Sending an "Inquiry" via Petfinder does not constitute an application.)   Dorito is a one year-old, 34 pound male neutered Border Collie mix. He was initially a stray in Oklahoma and was transferred to a Kansas City shelter, then to Mo-Kan. Dorito loves his people, is a very active and driven boy, and would likely make a great sport prospect.  He shows great focus, toy drive and a fantastic tug.  He has super fetch abilities and brings the disc right back to your hand.   Dorito enjoys interacting with the other dogs in large playgroups with dogs big and small.  It's unknown how he is with cats, however. Dorito is highly alert on walks and if walking too close to a roadway, may lunge after cars, but is easily redirected. He also can be a leash biter but stops when told. Though he’s good with other dogs in playgroups, he will bark and pull, sometimes lunge towards other dogs when out on a walk. He is very treat and toy motivated, affectionate, driven, friendly, happy-go-lucky, hyper. He does still jump on people and can be mouthy, especially when trying to get you to play with him.  He is neutered, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on monthly preventatives.
