Story
Trooper is a very high energy dog. About 3 years old. He’s very well trained, except walking and new people he needs to be properly introduced each time, walking him in neighborhoods can be difficult. (We have young kids and lots of surprised guests this is hard on him) He needs a home that has room to run for him, he cannot be cooped up for long. Troop loves other dogs and never has had an issue playing with dogs. He would be best placed in a preteen and older home. The very young kids make him nervous. He sits, stays(place), comes when called, potty trained. Up to date on shots and is microchipped

Story
We got them from a family member. Who needed help with a litter of puppies. Due to some life changing circumstances we are unable to care for them. They are loyal dogs who love being with people. They were born July 1, 2021. They look different but are sisters from the same litter. Their dad was a pure breed Australian shepherd. Their mom a Lab/Pit mix. The tan one is Nala who is very outgoing and friendly. The gray speckled one is Pixie who is shy and kind. They are trained to sit and stay. Very smart and trainable dog’s who deserve to be in a home that can give them a lot of love and attention.

Story
Jasper was born December 25th, 2020, we got him at 6 weeks old. He knows basic commands plus a bunch of tricks, he was raised with a small dog, and is living with large dogs currently. He needs a home without other male dogs. He is well behaved on walks, but has anxiety during car rides. He is very tolerant and good around kids. He needs access to a yard as he has had a big yard his whole life. Jasper likes to play, all the time, he is a very goofy dog with a lot of personality. He is a loud dog, he howls at us when we get home, and barks when we leave, if he gets riled up he’ll bark and howl.

** PLEASE EMAIL questions, please DO NOT call. We are a volunteer based group and are unable to handle the call volume. WE WILL BE HOLDING ADOPTIONS ON SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS FROM 10-4 PM at our Adoption Center. Our adoption center is located next to CAL Ranch at 232 North Jones (I-95) Suite 170. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY, BUT WE DO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN THE STORE. Loda is about 7 1/2 yrs old and weighs about 65 lbs. She is an easy going dog who loves attention. She can even be a bit demanding for pets. She came in with red skin and once put on an antibiotic has shown major improvement in just a weeks time. We have moved her to a no grain food to see if that clears up faster. She was surrendered to a shelter for growling at the grandchildren. We do not know how old they were, if it was the running/noise which made her uncomfortable. She will need a home with children over 13 yrs. More will be known about me soon. A Path 4 Paws holds adoption events at our Adoptions Store, located at 232 N. Jones Blvd, Suite 170 right next to CAL Ranch (North Jones/ I-95). Please bring your dog(s) for a meet and greet (if applicable) Please bring your entire family so everyone can meet. If you are interested in Loda, please contact dogrescuelv@hotmail.com to confirm the dog you are interested in, will be attending that particular event. We have limited space at the store, therefore we can not take every dog out to the event. This pet is spayed/neutered, has current vaccinations and includes a microchip, deworming and 2 free vet visits, including a Healthy Start Certificate with the VCA Hospitals with a $250 health credit (restrictions apply). Adoption fee applies. Please make sure you have read the information listed on the homepage for requirements and restrictions. Foster homes & volunteers are always needed. Please contact us regarding how you can help by fostering or volunteering for our organization.

Story
Teddy is a neutered 11 month old Australlian Cattle Dog & Belgian Malinois Mix Puppy who is looking for his forever home. I rescued and have been fostering Teddy for 4 months now and he is ready to meet his forever family. Teddy does well with dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids. Teddy has a calm demeanor but likes to live an active lifestyle. Teddy is a great hiking, walking, running, and rock scrambling companion. Teddy is house and apartment trained, potty trained, and crate trained. Teddy knows the following commands: sit, down, roll over, shake, and come. Teddy is extremely intelligent and capable. Teddy is affectionate and obedient with his owner. Teddy goes to the dog park and to busy areas frequently and does well. Teddy walks best on a "gentle leader" leash which will be given to the individual who adopts Teddy. Teddy is truly an amazing dog, I would keep him if I already didn't adopt his sister. If you’re interested in meeting or adopting him please apply.

Story
A1114323 Bodie is a 4-year-old, 36-pound, neutered male, Australian Cattle Dog mix.He entered the shelter as an owner surrender due to their allergies He spent a brief time living with another dog and children but not cats. The original owner said Bodie doesn`t seem to get along with other dogs He has since been adopted and returned twice. One for the other dog in the house being protective over the daughter and most recently for being too hyper and loud for an apartment. Bodie is a good medium sized dog. He has basic manners such as “sit” and “stay.” He is friendly and calm with people and easy to leash. He walks well and is well behaved on the leash. He has completely enjoyed himself in our large group play and shown no aggression to his yard mates. A meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home since like people dogs like to pick their friends too.

Harlow is a busy girl, typical of her breed. She loves to play, chase and herd! Harlow is friendly with people but she is selective about her doggy friends. She is best with a submissive, mellow dog who won't compete for her beloved tennis ball! Harlow is house trained, kennel trained, knows basic commands and her constant, happy personality is a joy to be around. She weighs 40 lbs and is 4 years old.
