Story
Meet Alex! Alex is a handsome 1 year old mix breed pup. He is friendly, fun loving and energetic. Alex seems to do well with the other dogs that he’s met at LHS. We are recommending older kids due to his exuberance. Alex will need some work on leash walking with and basic commands. His new owner should have the time, patience and energy to dedicate to him. Alex would be a great companion for an active owner. He would make the best walking or running partner. If Alex sounds like the one for you, please fill out our online application or stop in during open hours. Wednesday 6-8pm or Saturday 12-3p.

Story
Meet Jack, a sweet and sensitive 4-year-old dog looking for a very special forever home. He was adopted from a shelter and was believed to be a stray, and he still struggles with severe separation anxiety. Jack needs an experienced adopter who can help him work through his behavioral challenges and provide the steady routine he depends on. He would do best with someone who is home most of the day—such as a retired person, someone who works from home, or a patient family with children. Jack loves exercise and would thrive with a fenced-in yard, as he can be a flight risk when nervous. He has recently begun having accidents in the home, which we believe are caused by anxiety and a schedule change. It truly breaks our hearts to rehome him, but we know he deserves the consistent care and attention we can no longer provide. We hope to find the person who will be his true forever home.

Story
Name: Luffy aka LuckyDOB: 12/13/25Breed: Shepherd mixSex: Male (neutered)Weight: 28lbs. Location: Buffalo Luffy aka “Lucky” as his foster family calls him, is a Shepherd mix puppy who was rescued from Kentucky. He was found as a stray with his sister and brought to Buffalo because his beautiful coat and sad eyes caught our eye. Lucky is a very shy boy so it takes time for him to warm up. Lots of people are scary right now and he needs someone to earn his trust. He follows his foster mom everywhere. Lucky loves to cuddle, to play with other dogs, chew toys, and is curious about cats. He does well in a crate with a bone. Potty training is a work in progress. He’ll do best in a home with another dog to show him it’s okay to “be a dog.”   Are you looking for a loyal lover boy to grow with your family? Please apply at https://www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue if you’re already pre-approved. ##2702885##

HOLLYDOB: 9/20/25Breed: Aussie mix Sex: Female spayedWeight: 38 lbsLocation: Buffalo  Holly is a smaller medium sized people-loving pup who always wants to be right by your side. She thrives on companionship. At no fault of her own, Holly was returned to foster care.   Holly is crate trained though It’s not always her favorite place (she'd much rather be with her people). She is doing great with potty training. She will need help learning how to alert her humans in a new home.  Holly loves other dogs and enjoys having friends to play with though would be perfectly fine alone. She has cats in her foster home and does well with them. She also does well with kids.  She’s a smart girl who already knows sit down and knows her name. Holly will thrive with a fenced in yard as, she can jump a 4ft fence (at least 6 ft) and lots of snuggles.  She would be a great agility dog as she is able to jump baby gates with ease.   If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who wants to be part of your family, Holly might be your perfect match! If you are interested in adopting Holly please apply today at https://www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue if you’re pre approved!! ##2662065##
