Story
Cosmo / Male / 3 Years / 65lbs / Australian Shepherd/Labrador / Dog Selective / Good with Older Children/ Untested with Cats / Fostered in Milton Cosmo is a striking, intelligent shepherd-mix with a deeply sensitive and thoughtful nature. In a calm, predictable environment, he is affectionate, playful, and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. When he feels safe, Cosmo enjoys relaxing near his humans, spending time on the couch or nearby on the floor, and engaging with enrichment that allows him to decompress and settle. Cosmo thrives with routine, clarity, and low-pressure interactions. He responds best when given space and choice, and he shows excellent potential when his nervous system is supported. He loves food-based enrichment, stuffed toys, sniffing activities, and long-lasting chews, all of which help him regulate and feel secure. Inside the home, he is calm, house-trained, and not destructive when his needs are met. Cosmo can become overwhelmed in busy or unpredictable environments. He is sensitive to excess noise, movement, unfamiliar visitors, and close proximity to other dogs, and he benefits from thoughtful management that reduces trigger stacking. He does best with calm, respectful dogs when given adequate space and has shown the ability to self-regulate during structured, low-pressure social experiences. Cosmo is not suited to a home with young children, as fast movement and unpredictability increase his anxiety. Cosmo has worked with professional behavioural support and responds best to force-free handling, long-line walks in quiet natural settings, and environments that prioritize emotional safety over exposure. With consistency and continued support, he demonstrates curiosity, connection, and the ability to build confidence at a steady pace. Cosmo is looking for an experienced, patient home that understands sensitive dogs and values calm, predictable routines. His ideal home would be a quiet household — ideally rural or semi-rural — with access to safe outdoor space where he can decompress without frequent triggers. He would do best with minimal visitors and guardians who are committed to continuing his confidence-building, low-pressure lifestyle. Cosmo may thrive as an only dog or with a calm, well-matched canine companion following careful introductions. In the right environment, Cosmo is a deeply loyal and gentle companion — a dog who finds joy in quiet moments, meaningful connection, and the comfort of being truly understood. Story
Bean / Male / 14 Weeks / Aussie x Elkhound / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Yes / Kids: Yes / Location: Bowmanville 📍 Bean, one of our incredible parvo survivors, is officially medically cleared and ready for adoption! After completing his full quarantine post-illness, this brave little warrior is finally ready to find his forever family. Bean may be the runt of the litter, but don’t tell him that, he doesn’t believe it for a second. 💛 He loves cuddles, playing with his brother and foster siblings, napping hard, and of course… eating. He’s a confident, clever little guy who is eager to please and highly food motivated, which makes training such a fun and rewarding experience. He’s already crate trained and pee pad trained (thanks to being indoors for weeks during recovery) and with how smart he is, he’ll transition beautifully to outdoor potty training. Bean has the sweetest soul. He loves being talked to, and will happily “talk” right back. If he chooses you as his person, he will follow you everywhere. He’s playful and goofy, but also gentle and good natured, making him a great fit for most home environments. This tiny boy defied the odds when he was so incredibly sick. Watching him grow into this strong, loving, intelligent puppy has been nothing short of amazing. If you think you could give Bean the forever he fought so hard for, apply today. 🐶💛 https://forms.gle/EMrUf6KAPzKvsL8t9

Story
Rooby / Spayed Female / 7 Years / 50lbs / Australian Shepherd X / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Untested / Kids: Yes / Location / Port Colborne Mama Rooby is officially ready to find her forever family This beautiful lady is 7 years young, and to call her a cuddle bug would be an understatement. If you let her, she would happily live on your lap full time. Rooby is all about her people, always close, always loving, always seeking connection. A home where someone is around more often than not would be ideal for her. A recently retired person looking for a devoted companion? That would be her perfect cup of tea. She truly loves everyone. Visitors at the door? New friends. Familiar faces? Even better. And of course, she loves mealtime and treats, just like all her puppies do. We can absolutely see where they get their sweet, gentle nature from. Despite spending her whole life tied outside, Rooby’s heart is nothing but soft and loving. She is incredibly good natured and patient. At home, whether crated or not, she waits calmly for you to return. No fuss, just happy to see you when you walk back in. Rooby is still learning how to simply be a dog. Toys are new and a bit confusing, but she’s figuring it out. She gets along well with other dogs, she may be a little aloof at first, but if someone invites her to play, she’ll happily join in. Otherwise, she’s content doing her own thing. Car rides make her a little nervous at first, but once she’s in, she settles nicely. She’s been friendly with every single person who comes to the door. Rooby is an easy girl to love and even easier to please. All she wants is a warm lap, kind hands, and a family to call her own. She would make such a special addition to a very lucky home. https://forms.gle/Q53nzoZtq3JGZ4yc7
