Story
Fanny was born about June 26, 2023 and will likely top out about 50 lbs.  My goodness this girl is strikingly pretty!  She has a soft medium length coat that will cause you to deal with shedding.  Her color of tan is on the red side and then those eyes - WOWZA!  Fanny came to us as a stray through a nearby dog control officer after no owner was found.  Fanny is so sweet tempered and has a bit of comical quirkiness which surely comes from her Husky side.  She is very human motivated yet does wonderful with the other dogs.   We are experiencing some food protection with the other dogs, but it is manageable and will hopefully dissipate as she realizes she will never go hungry again.  Fanny rides fine in a car.  It seems she's not been on leash much and not sure what to do so she doesn't think she can move - there is that funny Husky personality again.  Fortunately, she has not ever had pups even though she was not spayed upon arrival and at the vet's office there was an, off leash, spicey Jack Russell that wanted to kick her butt and she just wanted to get away from it!  She is a super nice young lady that may be a bit of a diamond in the ruff, but it won't take long for her to become a fantastic canine companion.  Oh, one more thing we learned is that she does have the ability to get over a 6' enclosure, but we quickly learned it was only because she wanted to get to us humans and never to run off.  So, if you are owners who enjoy leaving your dog in the fenced back yard and driving away she is not for you.  Fanny is her name! Story
Reeses was born about September 3, 2022 and weighs about 55 lbs.  I'm not sure he could be any cuter and his coloring and markings are bold and beautiful!  He is back with us after three years because his human mom passed away and the young son was not able to keep the home and keep Reeses.  Reeses does well in the car and he walks fine on leash.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $__300.00__. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. Story
These pups are sponsored in loving memory of Joan Cooman, a woman who put her heart and soul into her family and her pets. Joan passed her love and compassion for animals to so many people, but mostly her daughters. 8 years ago, Holly Quinn joined Joan’s family, a rescue from Joyful, and Holly has been nothing short of phenomenal. She was Joan’s most precious possession, and she shared Holly with the world. Passing the TDI therapy dog test, Joan combined her favorite things. Teaching elementary school-aged children to read with Holly being the ever constant ear to the kids. We hope that when you adopt one of these puppies your new family member means as much to you as our Holly meant to Joan. Polly was born around May 1, 2025 and with no knowledge of the parents we are going to guess she will top out about 50-60 lbs.  We are also truly guessing at breed since these puppies came to us from dog control in the western NY area.  Update:  Two of the 5 pups looked very much German Shepherd and the others looked for like Polly.  It is possible for there to be more than one dad per litter so Polly's ultimate breed info may vary from her sister's DNA that was very GSD looking, but at least it give us an idea.   Polly is a bit shy at first meeting as they all were, but adjusting nicely to the new environment and she thinks all of us JR humans are pretty cool.  As the other siblings did we feel Polly will need time (the one that had the DNA done wasn't really adjusted to her home for three months so you'll need to be patient, but that family sure loves their girl!!   It sure appears that she is going to be a smart, playful, happy, little girl that will adore her new human family!  Polly is very much a water dog and has been swimming in the pool as well as the pond.  Don't you just love that she is bi-eyed!?!  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. Story
My name is Luna, and I am almost 5 years old....and such a pretty lady!!! Don`t let this pretty face fool you...I am a hunter by nature and have a high prey drive....squirrels, woodchucks, any small animal.... they are all fair game. I would do best in an adult home, no kids, no cats and no small dogs... a home with a fenced yard is a must. Lots of mental stimulation keeps this pretty working girl dog in check.
