Story
Finn is a wonderful year and 5 month old Aussie/lab. He’s great with big dogs , but herds and plays rough with small dogs and cats. He has gone after my goats, so not a herding dog. He loves to be petted, play tug with you or other large dogs . He loves to rife in the car on errands and get treats from the bank etc. I love him with all my heart. I can’t have him going after my goats. I’m managing my father who’s got dementia and keeps letting him out. He’s fine with chickens. He knows “sit”, “ stay”, “ in your house” to go into crate, shake paw, high ten, working on drop. He loves walks with a harness. He’s crate and house trained . Perfect pup for a goalless , small dog less home.

Story
In Benton: Meli (May-Lee) is a gorgeous 7 yr old female Aussie with a spunky and optimistic personality! She loves everyone she meets and wants to be in your lap. Super sweet & loving! Meli is good with cats and dogs, although she doesn't like other dogs all over her and in her face. She very much prefers people, and even ignores the neighbors goats and chickens in favor of being close to her person. Meli received a clean bill of health from the vet in February. She's up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, house trained, crate trained, and knows basic obedience including having a phenomenal recall! Meli enjoys walks and car rides and she's learning not to pull on leash. Some of her manners are a work in progress, she loves food and attention and will jump up for both unless she's told to sit first. Meli is eager to please and will gladly work for belly rubs (Which is fantastic since she's trying to shed a little more than fur ?) As we make progress in her weight loss journey, Meli's energy has skyrocketed! She has all the enthusiasm of a two year old without the puppy mischief and settles well indoors. She loves being given a job or game to learn and would be a great companion for a moderately active family. If Meli sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family.

Story
Eddie is located in Fayetteville, NC and a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption. A fully fenced yard will also be required and it must be a physical fence. Eddie is a very energetic, under one year of age (DOB is 9/2024) Double Merle Australian shepherd pup. As a result of being a double merle, Eddie is also DEAF and has eye abnormalities that do make those stunning blue eyes a bit sensitive to light. However, he can see quite well! We expect him to be in the 50 lbs range when fully grown. Eddie has the most adorable full tail that tightly curls up on his back when he's happy. Eddie has a fun, very goofy personality. Everyone needs a little mischief mixed in to keep things interesting and Eddie has that covered. Eddie is curious about all the things. He is still a puppy after all. He can give you a head tilt that will melt hearts. Especially paired with those eyes. Eddie, like many aussies has an abundance of energy and will need a person that understands his breed and that will enjoy guiding him to channel that into appropriate activities. Big added bonus if you also have Deaf dog experience. He does take redirection easily and does not have a dominant personality. He also does not need a person that is going to focus on telling him that he's any different. Eddie was born without hearing and has no idea he's missing a thing. Eddie is extremely smart and enjoys training. Learning new things and keeping him engaged burns his energy and will keep his curiosity driven mischief to a minimum. He has learned his puppy basics quickly with both hand signals and touch cues. He loves to learn! Eddie also walks beautifully on leash. He would make a wonderful adventure buddy for daily walks, on leash hiking, car rides-.You name it, he's up for it! He would not do well if his person is gone for long hours on a daily basis. Eddie needs a person that has the time to spend with him and someone that will enjoy taking him for outings. He loves to be with his person. He does have a bit of a shy side, so he needs a little encouragement and the understanding to take things at his pace in certain situations. Once his energy needs have been met, Eddie also loves to snuggle up on the couch with his head resting in your lap or up on your shoulder. So if you don't want dogs on the furniture or a cuddle buddy, Eddie is not the one for you. Eddie is house trained. He is learning that the crate is a safe space, but it's not his favorite just yet. Eddie would do best with another doggie playmate that matches his playful energy. Eddie came into rescue with his littermate, Clark and has never been without another doggie friend in the home. Eddie is still learning to keep all fours on the ground, so if children are in his potential new home, older kids would be best. He does love children, though. Again, a fully fenced yard will be REQUIRED and it must be a physical fence. No exceptions. Eddie is fully up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is on heartworm and flea prevention. He will require neuter per our contract at an age appropriate time. If you think Eddie is the energetic, goofball for you, please submit our adoption application. Here is the link: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additinal $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. And a REFUNDABLE $50 neuter deposit which will be refunded upon proof of neuter.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Adora is adorable! We are not exactly sure what her mix is. Mom somewhat resembles an Aussie mix. But it's also entirely possible there's some catahoula leopard dog in the mix as well. Whatever she is, she is 100% amazing. She has stunning blue eyes. Adora is deaf. This doesn't make her any less adoptable. She does have some light sensitivity due to her eye color.  Adora LOVES everyone she meets. She has wonderful leash manners. She loves to yell her loudest when shes excited and playing. We almost sleep through the night now and only have the occasional urine accident in the kennel. Adora's not a fan of stairs or rain. Both of which seem to overstimulae her and it takes time for her to walk on stairs and in the rain. She loves a ramp option though.   ************************************************************************ The puppy adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the future spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All puppies have had a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/search? and search on the puppy name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an applicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 30, 2025, 2:57 pm
