Story
Bandit is a tripod (front left leg amputee) who has adapted incredibly well and doesn’t let it slow him down. He has been with our family since he was a puppy.We are looking to rehome him because he has become uncomfortable around our youngest child. Because of this, we feel he would do best in a home without children.Bandit does well at dog daycare and enjoys being around other dogs, although he has shown some food aggression at home with our two other dogs. He loves attention, pets, walks, and spending time outdoors.He has also been having accidents in the house and we believe anxiety may be contributing to this behavior. He previously did well with house training.Bandit loves exploring and would do best with a secure fenced yard or an owner who can ensure he stays safely contained.This is a very difficult decision for our family because we love him very much. We want to find a home that is the best fit for his needs and where he can be successful.

Story
Rosie was adopted from a shelter in April of this year. She had previously lived as a strictly outside farm dog who was given the bare necessities. When she had killed a chicken, she was listed on Facebook to be put down by that evening unless someone took her, and she was dropped off at the Joplin Humane Society. My fiancé and I adopted her a week and a half after. When we first took her home, she was a very calm and timid dog who loved all kinds of attention. She's an incredible dog, but still young, and needs more attention than we can give as full-time working college students. She's very high energy and needs someplace to run around. We are looking for experienced dog owners with the time and energy to care for a high-energy animal. Even though she had previously killed a chicken in her old home, she has interacted with other dogs and cats and has shown no violent tendencies. She is also great with kids, just very playful.

Hello folks! My tail started wagging the minute you started reading my story! My name is Cash and I am a male, 1 1/2 year old, Husky/Aussie mix who is looking for a new forever home and hooman. I did have a wonderful home and hooman before I came to Golden Paws, but my hooman is suffering from some health issues so that he was not able to give me the life he knew I deserved. It was an act of love on my hooman’s part. I hated to leave, but I am now ready to begin the next chapter of my life. I am black and white in color, and weigh 35 lbs. I am a very happy boy who is always glad to see the people I know, and ready to meet the people I do not know and turn them into friends. The folks here at Golden Paws say they cannot remember a time when my tail was not wagging. It seems to have two speeds, wagging and really wagging. I get along well with the other dogs here and I don’t really mind cats. They do what they do and I do what I do. Because I am a young person, I do need room to run and stretch my legs and so I can burn off plenty of energy. If you’re looking for a dog who is always happy to see you, with major tail wags and maximum bouncing around, I’m the one for you. I’m very curious and walk well on a leash, so we can take those long walks together, when we’re not playing ball in the yard. Just look at my picture! Doesn’t that look like the dog you want with you as you rack up adventures in life? So how about filling out an application and coming on down to Joplin for a meeting? I agree to bring you smiles, laughter, and love. I have been neutered, have had all my shots and I am ready to go. My former owner, who loved me very much, surrendered me to Golden Paws in order to allow me to have a wonderful life that they were unable to provide.
