Story
Meet Magnolia (affectionately known as Maggie)! 🌸 Maggie is a beautiful Australian Shepherd / Great Pyrenees mix born at the end of July. She is a happy, active puppy with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. Maggie is a double merle and, because of this, she is deaf—but that certainly doesn’t slow her down or hold her back in life! Maggie is incredibly smart and a quick learner. She is eager to please and has already shown how capable she is at learning through consistency and positive reinforcement. We are looking for an adopter with experience with deaf dogs—or someone willing to learn—who is committed to training her using hand signals and providing the structure she needs to thrive. For her safety, Maggie will require a securely fenced yard. She absolutely adores playing with other dogs, and we feel she would do best in a home with a friendly canine companion to help her continue building confidence and burning off puppy energy. Maggie is doing wonderfully with house training and has mastered using the dog door. In a home without a dog door, she will just need a little extra guidance to continue her success. At night, she sleeps comfortably in a dog bed but is also crate-trained if needed. She walks well on a leash and is continuing to grow into a very well-rounded young lady. Maggie is expected to be a large dog, and due to her size, breed traits, and enthusiasm, she would do best in a home with older children. She is truly a special girl with so much potential, and her foster family is dedicated to finding the perfect forever home—one that will nurture her, support her unique needs, and help her continue her journey into a confident, successful pup. If you’re looking for a remarkable dog with a big heart and are ready to embrace something truly special, Maggie may be your perfect match. 💛🐾 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
🐾 Meet South 🐾 Born: July 2025 South is a sweet, intelligent boy with a loving heart and a thoughtful soul. Like his brother, South was abandoned once he became “too big” and inconvenient — yet he still seeks affection and connection, proving just how loving he truly is. South is doing beautifully in doggy daycare and has made great progress learning leash skills and basic structure. While he has a playful, energetic puppy side, he’s a touch more laid-back than North and balances activity with cuddle time. He’s eager to learn, rides well, and is expected to be a medium-sized dog once grown. South would make a wonderful family companion or adventure buddy for someone who wants a smart, affectionate dog to grow alongside. He’s transitioning from puppyhood into adolescence and would love to experience that milestone in a home where he’s cherished, guided, and truly part of the family. Story
A Sweet, Energetic Boy Looking for a loving home. With a heavy heart, we are looking to rehome our dog, Travis. He turned 3 years old on May 10, 2025, and is a spirited, affectionate pup originally from Arkansas. Travis is full of love and loyalty, and he thrives when he has someone who can spend quality time with him and provide plenty of exercise. Travis is great with our two young children, but struggles with anxiety around other young kids;especially in our high foot traffic home. While he has never bitten anyone, the constant commotion and stimulation have been tough for him to manage. He lives with our older Labrador and a cat, and while he and our Lab do have a strong bond, Travis sometimes gets overexcited and will nip the Lab. His energy can be a bit much for our senior dog. We are heartbroken to make this decision, but with another baby on the way, we realize our home is simply too overwhelming for Travis'needs right now. We are seeking a loving, stable home.

Story
DOB 8-20-2023 Ralph is just a good boy, he gets along well with others, loves to run and play and is social. He is neutered, heartworm negative and has received a Proheart 6 injection. His adoption fee is 600.00, transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS, they run every 2 weeks. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
